tothelastbreath and
looseleafbook,
alma_karma whenever they get around to kidnapping him in the name of good grooming habits, and maybe
promisedlotus if he's cool with getting a haircut.
When: July 11th
Where: Nesreca apartments
Rating: DANDELIONS AND PUPPIES until Kanda opens his mouth.
Summary: Just a bunch of boys cutting each other's hair, with or without permission. What can go wrong, seriously. Also, action spam format. Aaaaall the action spam.
[Truth is, Allen doesn't really care if his hair gets cut or not.
Truth is, Nesreca has this hideous way of encouraging him not to care very much about most things pertaining to himself.
What he does care about, however, is making good on his verbal promise to Lavi, especially after circumstances have caused him to fall short of keeping the previous one. So when late morning finally rolls around, he splashes some water on his face in an attempt to wash away the fatigue, tries on a smile in a grimy window pane (stretch it, hold it, steady now), and makes his way to room 905 with the pair of surgical scissors they'd found all those weeks ago.]
Lavi? [ Knock knock. ] Are you up?

Lavi? [ Knock knock. ] Are you up?

Lavi looks up from the book that he had been translating in his head, one of the few that Allen had brought by at his arrival. With everything going on he had only had time to get through one or two of them. And it was an effective way to keep the nightmares from coming back to him, reading until he was exhausted and only had room in his head for Russian and the topic of the text.]
Door's open, Allen. [He tries himself to put a smile in his voice if not on his face.]
no subject
[muffled through the door, the answering smile in his voice apparent:] I take it you aren't in the middle of anything embarrassing, then.
[The door creaks open on his last word, and it looks like that smile's been affixed to his face as well. Comes over, giving that book a curious look.]
Unless I'm interrupting something else...?
no subject
Laughs as he closes the book, turning to face Allen.] Come on, Allen. You know those things are best left for the darkness~ [Teasing lightly again.]
Just dry philosophy. I hated it in English and I think I hate it more in Russian.
no subject
[with the slow, expressive arch of an eyebrow, though he clearly doesn't mean it:] Remind me never to drop by after dark.
[Leaning over to peer at the book cover, even though he can't read a word of it.]
Philosophy? [ There's a note of genuine curiosity here; Allen's education tended to run towards the shadier aspects of life. ] What's so bad about it?
no subject
Laughs a bit more, shaking his head.] Doubt I could coax a pretty lady over here anyway, yeah?
[Hums softly.] Dry repeat of what I learned when I was Alma's age, hasn't changed much in all the years between what I knew then and when this was printed.
no subject
But the subject itself is alright?
[And makes a face, that was not what he meant when he mentioned embarrassing things. Let's see. He can answer with any variety of of course you would, or he can―]
[ waving his scissors at Lavi's hair ] Not likely with that tangle of yours.
[Alright, it doesn't look that bad, but it's a good opening for him to get the point across.]
no subject
[But still interesting to see how other authors/editors bring their own opinions into play~ Ha! Like he does that kind of thing, Allen.
A hand goes up to that red mop.] It's not tangled, I just brushed it...! [Trailing off, counting.] Yesterday? Was it yesterday? What's today, maybe that'll help. [Kidding, really.]
Could do this in one of the unused rooms, Libitina will probably clean it up before she shoves someone in it. Or outside?
no subject
Maybe we should just save you the trouble of remembering and cut it all off. Maybe that'll help.
[Also kidding, really, if that little quirk of a smile is any clue. It may look a mite subdued, but given everything that's happened lately, it's still comparatively easier for him to be around Lavi.]
Outside's good, I don't think Libitina's that considerate.
no subject
I look horrible with a bald head being beside the point, right?
[Smiling himself, getting up to ruffle at Allen's hair himself.]
You, on the other hand, might be able to wear it.
no subject
[He clicks the pair of scissors in emphasis as he starts heading outside.]
no subject
Lavi grabs an old blanket that he can't really use and follows after Allen.] Do we have to use the stairs?
no subject
[Pauses on his way to the stairwell, blinking back at the other boy over his shoulder, the flicks his eyes at Lavi's hammer (or where he normally stores it, if it isn't visible at the moment), though he's quite sure that isn't what Lavi means. Quite.]
Is there an alternative?
no subject
It is indeed in the holster that it's usually in, even if there's a truce Lavi feels safer with it on him at all times. Not to mention he uses it to get around everywhere, not only in the building.]
Tettsui~ [Grins]

Lavi, I'm looking to lose some of my hair, not all of a limb.

The last time I said yes, you drove us into a wall! And Bookman!
[Sorted in that order by increasing degree of pain.]
no subject
I was still getting the hang of having passengers! I'm used to that now!
[Trust him, Allen! He trusts you! D:]
no subject
--You've been practicing? [He sounds just a mite horrified.] With whom?
[So he can sympathise with them properly.]
no subject
The old man? [Sheepish look is sheepish.] You both probably weigh about the same.
no subject
Ah.
[It's accompanied by a slight wince of sympathy. Is that why Bookman's hair is so scarce. Did it fall out from sheer fright. (If only you knew, Allen.)]
[ glancing down at himself ] I'm sure I haven't lost that much weight. [ with some morbid curiosity: ] How did those practice rides go?
no subject
Pretty good, Panda didn't complain any.
no subject
Sure it wasn't because he couldn't complain?
no subject
Lavi whips out his hammer and sticks it out, commanding it to grow and extend silently as he grabs a hold of Allen - sorry - around the waist and out they go! It's already at the ground when he does this so another silent "shrink" and Down Periscope!]
