She's basically lost
Characters: Doc Holiday and everyone
When: January 18th-19th
Where: Her own room, 404, or around the apartments
Rating: G/PG
Summary: The Doc is about as settled in as she's going to get, so come bug her or let her come bug you.
This city was crazy. What they were telling her was crazy. She desperately wanted to find out what had happened back home, but she had mostly resigned herself to the fact that she was dead and this was some strange hell she was in. Likely for Beverly.
Or maybe they were all right and she was here just like them until the spirits decided to send her back. But what would she go back to? Would she still just die and lose everything anyway? Holiday sighed.
She can think about that at night when she tried to sleep. For now, she had to focus on getting by from day to day then get to bigger things.
Like Credinta.

"Oh, sorry. It's a pleasure to meet you in person. Please, come on in." How is she settling? "I'm making it."
no subject
"It can be an adjustment. I remember that, even when one is used to a lot of strangeness in their life." Light steps, keeping to herself, but taking the offer to come in. "Is it at least, time-wise, not far off from the technology you might be used to?"
no subject
But anyway. "Can I get you anything?"
no subject
"I'm from a city in the early 21st century, west coast, America in the United States, if that's familiar. Most of the tech here is slightly lower than what I'm used to, but I also originally came to that city from a place far less advanced in science, or at least...more ascetic." She seems pretty comfortable just standing there, but she is trying to at least be friendly.
"Credinta seems...late 20th, early 21st century Eastern European-Rural-Russia, in tech level from what I've been able to tell. At least their firepower, and tech for security. They do seem to have some anti-magic defenses though, which is not something I'm used to from what I've seen." Yep, still deadpan, and casual about magic and science coexisting. "Best path seems to be stay over here, since they're as likely to shoot you as throw you in prison, just for appearing over here. Talk to Gen. Cross, if you really want to, about what might be useful from over there. Or Lavi--but until you know more about things here, Ms. Holiday, I'd stay on this side of the river."
no subject
"I'm not too far ahead of you, then, time wise. I'm from the same area of the States, at least." Holiday listens raptly to Raven's explanation of this new land, though.
"... I read the bio that Lavi made, but I don't understand why those people are still so scared of us. Do they nothing's changed after all of this time or did I miss something?"
no subject
"Some of it is superstition, and some of it is because when they did bring an army over here, to try and get rid of us, we decided our best strategy was to scare them. Badly. Yes, we're really in no better place than they are, so to speak--but it's hard enough without fighting them too. We succeeded rather well, and truth to tell--there are those of us here who ARE scary. Who you should be rightly cautious and afraid of."
Although perhaps not for the reasons Holiday will think--still.

"Still, I wish we could try to speak to their leader, form a truce, but I'm sure that's already been attempted by now."
no subject
Maybe, but Raven still felt the need to warn her. Besides, the scary things here are able to back it up by being really really dangerous, mostly.
no subject
"Do we have a different representative leader now? And what about Credinta? Do they still uphold the truce?"
no subject
Nope, not good news. Elizabeth vanished right before they all got snowed in with a huge blizzard. The good news is, it likely means that Credinta hasn't figured out anything has changed anyways.

Holiday sighs. "I know I've just arrived here and I don't know anything about this place, but I'd like to help where I can. If there's anything I can do or you would just like extra ideas, I'd love to help... I'm a part of all of this now, too."

"I know enough Russian to get me by, but I'm not fluent."
no subject
"I'm sorry none of what I've said so far is all that positive...but it's probably better to get it all out. I CAN tell you we all do try to take care of each other, so if you need something, then ask. Most of us are more than aware we're in this together, and all we can reliably depend on, is each other." Ok, that sounded really really cheesy...
"If you've read the report, I think I'm mentioned in there--I'm one of the healers. I'm also skilled magically, if you believe in it--and if you don't, well, I can still do my thing. In my world, there's no conflict with magic and technology. I have basic first aid knowledge and can assist that way, or I can do healing via my own abilities."
no subject
Mostly because she doesn't actually have a choice, but she is being nice about it.
"Really? I'm a doctor where I'm from and I'm not bad with firearms either. I hope I can be of some help around here." She doesn't want to be a free loader.

Have a faint head-tilt, and then Raven switching to Russian. --When did you want to start practicing, or do you want a couple of books, and a time to adjust to being here, first?--
no subject
... Oh. Well, that threw her off if the blank look on her face isn't anything to go by. Usually she eases into it instead of just slipping in like that... Honestly, that's what Six is there for.
After a blink, she answers. "I... think it's nearly 2:30?" She tried.

Was that a joke? With her deadpan tone it was difficult to tell. "I'm next door in 402 though, if you need anything. I keep odd hours, as well, so feel free to knock, or send a text."
So offering, she started to make her way to the door.
