She's basically lost
Characters: Doc Holiday and everyone
When: January 18th-19th
Where: Her own room, 404, or around the apartments
Rating: G/PG
Summary: The Doc is about as settled in as she's going to get, so come bug her or let her come bug you.
This city was crazy. What they were telling her was crazy. She desperately wanted to find out what had happened back home, but she had mostly resigned herself to the fact that she was dead and this was some strange hell she was in. Likely for Beverly.
Or maybe they were all right and she was here just like them until the spirits decided to send her back. But what would she go back to? Would she still just die and lose everything anyway? Holiday sighed.
She can think about that at night when she tried to sleep. For now, she had to focus on getting by from day to day then get to bigger things.
Like Credinta.

Things were different now. Though their main supplier was gone, certain residents of Nesreca had become rather good at sneaking in and out of Credinta, smuggling with them all of the basic supplies their small population needed... plus a few luxuries that they probably didn't.
On Saturday Yukio climbed the two flights to Rebecca's room and knocked on the door, a small box in his hands. A tall boy, he wore a long black coat and a friendly smile. Never mind the mismatched pistols at his back. They weren't exactly necessary in the apartments, but he didn't like to be without them.

"Hi. You're Yukio, right? The local medic?"
no subject
Yukio offered the woman a small, polite bow before holding out the box he'd brought toward her.
"I brought you a medical kit. I was't sure if you'd been brought with any supplies of your own, but a little basic first aid is never a bad idea."

She still lit up at her present, though. "Oh, thank you so much. Hopefully, I won't have to end up using it."

Her smile goes away for a second as she looks around. "Um. I know this is odd, but... may I ask you to come inside for a moment? Considering you're one of the medics here."
no subject
"Of course. Is there something wrong?"
no subject
She speaks of them as if they're as common as rocks. "I may have to tell you about where I'm from."
no subject
"You mean microscopic robots?"

Might as well, since it's right next door.
Raven is dressed in her usual blue-concealing cloak, with deep cowl. Underneath, although it won't be easily seen, is an over-sized, slightly old, black coat. She's gotten used enough to the winters here.]

This person looks... quite serious, but Holiday smiles anyway.
"Hello."
Her and Raven had only exchanged text messages before, after all.
Re: \o/
"Rebecca Holiday, right? I'm Raven, from 402...we spoke via text."
Well, she sounded female, and was petite enough--probably young too. Or at least a teenager still. Waiting politely to be asked in, or something--rather than simply barging in.
"I probably should've described myself...sorry. How are you settling in?"
no subject
"Oh, sorry. It's a pleasure to meet you in person. Please, come on in." How is she settling? "I'm making it."
no subject
"It can be an adjustment. I remember that, even when one is used to a lot of strangeness in their life." Light steps, keeping to herself, but taking the offer to come in. "Is it at least, time-wise, not far off from the technology you might be used to?"
no subject
But anyway. "Can I get you anything?"
no subject
"I'm from a city in the early 21st century, west coast, America in the United States, if that's familiar. Most of the tech here is slightly lower than what I'm used to, but I also originally came to that city from a place far less advanced in science, or at least...more ascetic." She seems pretty comfortable just standing there, but she is trying to at least be friendly.
"Credinta seems...late 20th, early 21st century Eastern European-Rural-Russia, in tech level from what I've been able to tell. At least their firepower, and tech for security. They do seem to have some anti-magic defenses though, which is not something I'm used to from what I've seen." Yep, still deadpan, and casual about magic and science coexisting. "Best path seems to be stay over here, since they're as likely to shoot you as throw you in prison, just for appearing over here. Talk to Gen. Cross, if you really want to, about what might be useful from over there. Or Lavi--but until you know more about things here, Ms. Holiday, I'd stay on this side of the river."
no subject
"I'm not too far ahead of you, then, time wise. I'm from the same area of the States, at least." Holiday listens raptly to Raven's explanation of this new land, though.
"... I read the bio that Lavi made, but I don't understand why those people are still so scared of us. Do they nothing's changed after all of this time or did I miss something?"

But he wasn't the type to go around door to door asking. That was someone else from his world, but certainly not him. Rather, he's the type to awkwardly ask. And for that to happen, there's definitely an accidental bump in required.
And as such, he's making his way up the fourth flight of stairs toward his room at the end of the hall. He's got a bag of some canned non-perishables with him, enough to last a couple of people for a bit. If he's noticed the name on the door neighboring his, he hasn't gone out of his way make that known. Yet.

She tried hard to not think too much on where she was or what was happening. She had already had one private panic attack, after all. Right now her goal was to focus on the present and helping these people while keeping herself alive. If she could she'd figure out how to get home. She missed them so much and... really, even in space, she never felt so alone.
But today she decided to roam around a little bit. She was smart enough to not travel far but just around the apartment building wouldn't be a bad idea. She had to get better on her bearings, despite the cold.
If only she could make it out of the hallway. Holiday left out of her door and bumped into someone else she hadn't seen before walking down the hall. "Ah, I'm sorry." Whoops. In a whole new planet and she can't pay attention to the space outside of her front door. Too much on her mind.

Kanda stopped himself when he was bumped into, a hand automatically reaching out to watch whoever it was that ran into him. It took him a moment, but he realized that he hadn't seen this woman before. Well, this was. It could be potentially be awkward, anyway.
"It's fine. When did you get here?"
no subject
That probably would have been a good idea, considering what the neighboring city was all about. Too bad she didn't think of it until just now... But there was a video going around of her, wasn't there?
no subject
"It's fine. It doesn't happen that often, I was just curious." Speak more, Kanda. "Uh, you have any supplies or anything?
no subject
Right. Uh. "Um. I'm Dr. Rebecca Holiday. It's a pleasure to meet you." Smile, Doc.
no subject
"Ah... I'm Kanda. I suppose we'll be neighbors for a while."
no subject
"Oh. That's nice. It's good to know everyone around here."
That's nice. Holiday will never be over that awkward streak. Ever.
