I Wouldn't Say It's Very Cold
Characters: Naruto Uzumaki, Canada (Matthew Williams), Open.
When: July 7th, 9am.
Where: Near the Nescrea-Credinta Bridge
Rating: PG, possible/probable swearing.
Summary: Naruto and Matthew go shopping in Credinta, breaking multiple laws in the process.
Matthew removed his glasses to rub at his eyes wearily. He'd managed to arrive near the bridge at 9am just as he had promised Naruto, but at the cost of sacrificing a large amount of sleep due to his freakishly late sleeping pattern. Oh well, he'd managed to drink alot of coffee before he got here anyhow.
He glanced around, watching out for the blond haired ninja. The Canadian was located at the crook of a building just out of sight from the guards located on the other side of the bridge. Even though they probably wouldn't notice him even if he did walk out, Matthew preferred to be cautious about these kinds of things. Matthew didn't know Naruto's personality that well, but hopefully Naruto would do the same about these guards. Still, Matthew knew that his semi-invisibility would make it difficult for Naruto to spot him, so he'd probably have to draw the ninjas attention towards him.

His bit of lateness had to be blamed on his refusal to get up on time this morning and which resulted in him not having time to find some food before leaving. So here he is tired, hungary, and not exactly paying attention to the guards as he walks by in plain view while trying to keep an eye out for Matthew.
It didn't seem like the guards were paying much attention to him either...for now.

"Be careful! I-I think they can see you, eh!"
no subject
"Huh? Who sees me?"
He looks back over his shoulder and spots the guards. Oh. Then he waves it away. He could so take those guys.
"Don't worry about them. They're a piece of cake."
no subject
He sighed, rubbing the side of his head. How were they going to cross this river?
no subject
"Don't worry about it. I'm a ninja remember? I can sneak over there and take them down with nobody noticing." At least that's what he keeps telling himself.
no subject
"U-Um...okay than..." He nodded, a nervous frown on his face. "Please just...be really careful." Why did he feel like he was talking to America?

So with a nod he sets back off to the bridge and walks right across, not caring that the guards had spotted him and were moving to block his path. He brought his hands up and made a cross with his fingers and the next instant there were two more Narutos then there had been previously.
Naruto and his clones brought the guards down quickly with a series of punches and kicks. It was all over in a matter of a few seconds. Then suddenly there was only one Naruto again and he was crouching next to one of the guards and looking at what he expected was the man's gun.
Grinning, he picked it up and waved it in the air for Matthew to see. "These don't look dangerous at all."

Matthew was used to the idea that there were people here who weren't human themselves (hell, he wasn't human himself) but...he'd never really considered the implications of such a variety of non-humans here. When Naruto said that his ninja training allowed him to take down those guards without them even noticing him, Matthew assumed he meant he could sneak up behind them and knock them unconscious with ninja-like precision. Of course Matthew found the orange-ness of Naruto's costume abit odd for a ninja, but...well there had to be some reason for the colouring, right?
So when Naruto copied himself into three pieces, Matthew realized that nope, Naruto wasn't a traditional Japanese style of ninja; he was something different all together.
"D-Don't kill them!" Matthew yelled, as he watched Naruto and his clones take down the guards. Oh dear, this entire idea to beat up the guards was a bad idea. Now they'd really have to rush their stealing spree, before the guys woke up and gave out a description of them. Matthew wasn't worried about them spotting him, but he was worried about Naruto.
"Y-Yeah...well...they still can be fatal so umm..." Matthew muttered, beginning to pace towards the other side of the bridge. They did need to rush, after all. Still, he wasn't so much interested in explaining the seriousness of guns to Naruto, as now focused on questioning what exactly did he just see?! "W-What was that?!"

"Oh that? That was my Shadow Clone jutsu. Pretty cool right?"
no subject
Once he was done, he ran back towards Naruto, clutching the straps of his packsack tightly. "Shadow Clone jut...su?" He mouthed, blinking in confusion. "Yeah! T-That was really cool, just...I've never really seen anything like it before. In my world, we can't do that kind of stuff at all." Once they reached the end of the bridge, Matthew fished out his PDA, checking the map. They should figure out where the shopping district is first.
no subject
"Really? So there are no ninjas in your world?" If Matthew had never seen anything like his Shadows Clones before, he was wondering how impressed he would be by his other techniques. Naruto never gave up the opportunity to impress people with how powerful he's become.
no subject
"Well...there are ninjas in my world, but.." Matthew spoke he looked down at the screen of his PDA, analyzing the map. Once he seemed to have decided what to do, he eventually looked up. "They come from one small island, and they can't do even close to the things you can do. They are very skilled fighters though!" As soon as he said that, Matthew had a sneaking suspicion Naruto would think everybody from his world were weaklings now. "Since your going to be the next leader, are your skills really strong compared to the others? Or can most ninja's do that? Or...can everybody in your world fight like that?!"
no subject
"well not everyone can do the Shadow Clone. It's actually a forbidden technique that I got out of a scroll that the Third Hokage had." He's going to skip over the part where he was tricked into stealing said scroll. "So I think I'm the only one-in my village at least-who can do it."
no subject
"Wow, you're amazing! No wonder your going to become the next Hokage!" Matthew gawked. "If you can do something like that, there's no doubt that you'll become the next one! When we get home anyhow..." He muttered, before realizing that he was dragging up an unhappy topic.
"Alright, so we go to our right and travel north, where the Town Square should be!" He announced happily, hoping to distract Naruto from his previous statement. "They speak a language called Russian; I can speak Ukrainian, which is close to Russian, so I'll sort of be able to understand them, but still, once we start to see more civilians we should definitely try to keep our voices down. They might notice us if they hear us speaking another language."
no subject
"Of course! I've worked so hard and come so far in my training Obaa-san would be crazy not to make me the next Hokage." He pushes all the reasons he's not likely to become hokage out of his mind. Those thoughts would only distract him and destroy his good mood.
"Uh okay. Lead the way!"
no subject
R-Right!" Matthew nodded, beginning to pace quickly down the streets. If one looked at the way he walked, he almost appeared to be mildly marching. This was because as the Canadian found himself trapped in this dangerous place longer and longer he began to feel his mind enter in how it had been during The Great War or Second World War. Of course this was only a little bit, and for the most part Matthew was how he'd been when he left Canada of 2010.
He glanced around, looking at the different shops and buildings as their sidewalk became increasingly crowded while they passed through the main office area. This place looked very similar to Eastern Europe, (albeit an older one of the late 90s), but even so Matthew found it utterly fascinating. An all new world, with new countries, cultures and history...he wondered if "nations" like himself existed in this world. Could he perhaps meet Credinta one day?
After they had walked halfway to the shopping district, Matthew looked at his PDA again, making sure that they were in the right direction. "Okay, half way there."
no subject
He observed the buildings absent-mindedly, remembering the less then warm welcome he got when he tried to cross the bridge after his arrival. It had reminded him a lot of his younger years...
He shook the thought away and turned his attention to Matthew, who was glancing at a device in his hand. He nodded in response and whispered, "Do you know which stores we need to go to?" Naruto couldn't make sense of any of the signs.
