Characters: Yuuta
meitori, Naruto
ramen4free
When: December 1
Where: At the side of the river
Rating: PG?
Summary: Yuuta and Naruto plan to go across the river for some salt and other ghost fighting things.
Yuuta waited quietly at the side of the river, hoping that Naruto would be able to get back soon. He was a little nervous about going across the river, given the things people had been telling him across the network. If any of that was true, then maybe it wasn't such a good idea to go there, even for salt to fight against spooks and all that.
Well, maybe they wouldn't notice. He was good at sneaking around, and Naruto had said that he had been there a few times already.

He glanced over at the river while he waited for an answer and determined it would probably be safe to cross, for now.

"Well, now or never." He wadded deeper into the water, becoming increasingly more wet as he went. He stopped when the water reached his waist and sank down, ready to start swimming.

He went into the water like Naruto, but dove in and started swimming quicker. Like he said, he hated getting wet and the sooner he was able to start drying off, the better. They would have to figure out some other way... being wet just might give the hostile people on the other side a huge hint of where they came from.

Once he reached the other side of the river, he trudged out and began to wring the water from his shirt. "The town is just straight ahead a little ways. It won't take long to get there."

He started heading off in the direction so the town, and true to his word, they arrived a few minutes later. He stopped along the edge of the town and looked over at Yuuta. "So, where would be a good place to look?"

He knew that they would probably have to steal it, but he didn't like thinking along those lines.

"I think it's that building up there." He points to a simple building standing a little ways ahead of them.

Hopefully the books he had in his inner jacket pocket in a plastic bag would be good enough to trade.

He grabbed a bag of it and took off towards Yuuta. "Hey, I found some. This is what you need right?" Behind him the shop keeper turned towards them and gave him an annoyed look.
i am so sorry i have been sick! D8
"Yes, this will do." He said. Going up to the counter, he put the salt on it along with his books. "My friend and I have been traveling for a while, and don't have any money on us. Could we trade perhaps? I could also work to pay for this."

The shop keeper crossed his arms and stared hard at Yuuta before slowly nodding. "Depends. What do you have to trade?"
sorry this is late!
Yuuta didn't quite like how this was going, even though nothing had happened yet. The gazes and stares, and how the shopkeeper was regarding them with suspicion... They might just have to forget about the salt and get out of here if he didn't accept the payment.
