It was like time froze, outside of that one singular moment. The akuma, with Mugen through his chest. Kanda Yuu being trapped by the claws around his neck.

And, through it all, Rhode Kamelot: Version Two-Point-Oh, cackling, even though she had just lost control of the Exorcist.

But just before Kanda Yuu woke up, she managed one last bit of strength.

Alma pulled himself closer, along Mugen's blade, to choke in Kanda's ear:

"You're not."

Before collapsing on top of the Exorcist, which jolted him out of the dream world, and back into Nesreca.
