Characters: AU!Riku, and OPEN!
When: May 26, midday
Where: All around Nesreca
Rating: PG-13
Summary: Riku's getting antsy. So what better to do than wander around, looking for people to spar with? Hey, he thinks it'll work.
Riku... was bored. And bad things tended to happen when he got this bored, this frustrated, this antsy. He was a fighter, despite his almost hermit-like personality as of late, despite the fact that he's kept out of the way of most of the violence in Nesreca recently, and right now? His body, his mind, and his heart were all crying out in unison, reminding him of that fact.
Which was why, throughout the day, he could be found in various places throughout the city. Never too far from their rooms - he had a certain accident-prone Princess of Heart to keep an eye on after all - but far enough that he can jump and push himself off the buildings with ease, where he can slice that sword of his through the air and shoot weak version of his normal spells off for practice. Most of it is just him limbering up, half-hearted, almost lazy versions of what he can do.
But either way, he can be found kind of defying gravity all around throughout the day, jumping off buildings, doing seemingly endless mid-air combos, and casting a dark version of what seems to be a fire spell at random bits of rock he finds on the ground. Really, feel free to approach him. He could use a targ-.... partner.

Well. She's actually looking for Riku, but same thing, right? Judging from the noises of a one-sided battle that floated up to her open window, it wasn't hard to find him. And watch. And wait. She was almost envious, of all the magic and tricks he could do with his sword. She had a Keyblade, and she knew.. a little magic. But Mickey was... Well, she didn't know more than a little.
"Hey, Riku!" Come down here, Kairi wants to play target practice.

Twisting his body in midair, he raised his hand up and flexed his fingers out, summoning up the energy needed to flow into the air around his palm, to extend outward and explode into the air, giving him the push sideways he needed in order to dig his blade into the side of a building and hang there for a moment, getting his breath back. He watched the little blast of fire peter out and fade away with something akin to... satisfaction. Just months ago, before he'd come to this world that was, he couldn't even manage that much control. Couldn't manage anything other than an explosion, a blast so hard and strong it would destroy everything. Now, though? Well, even he, the magic resistant, was getting the hang of it.
But then, he heard his name called out, and in his surprise - as well as a bit of embarrassment because really he should have sensed her - he almost dropped form his little perch, instead just shifting around slightly to cover up the sudden shift downwards before he peered down at the street, focusing in on that head of red hair almost immediately.
With a roll of his eyes, he dismissed the blade keeping him in place, falling through the air a few dozen feet and landing carefully, lightly, hands automatically going up to pull the hood over his face, only pausing slightly as he remembered. He didn't need it anymore.
"Hey," he greeted, rubbing the fabric of the hood between his gloved fingers for a moment before letting his hands drop to his sides. "Something wrong?" he would be Mr. Paranoid until the end of time it seemed.

He was on edge more than he usually was, especially after dealing with Rhode, so when he sensed someone come near by, a hand immediately went to the sword at his side. He stayed where he was, sitting in the window of a decaying building. He could wait to see who it was, at least.
