Where: The armory on the second floor.

Summary: Rin's departed again, leaving Yukio lost and looking for distractions.

[Anyone on or near the second floor will hear the thud of a boot hitting wood and what might be the slow splintering of said wood.

Yukio's kicking at the sturdy door of the armory, specifically aiming for the rusty latch that holds it closed. A thick piece of metal bar is bent through it, serving the purpose that a padlock might normally. With Rin around it was easy enough to get in and out of the room, but Yukio doesn't have the strength to bend the bar himself, so? He's going to break it.

He could leave it for some other time, but what if an emergency arises? He'll find a new way to secure the room later. Maybe after he's taken inventory. And reorganized. And done anything else that might need doing.

Anything to keep him busy.]

The fact that he's surprised by her presence should make his less-than-stellar emotional state even more obvious. Yukio's normally so careful and aware of what's going on around him, but with now Rin's gone and the exorcist needs something to focus on.

And that damned latch is keeping him away from his task.

He blinks at her for a moment, even throwing out a weak smile. It's always his first resort, his best defense.

Oddly, perhaps--Raven'll offer a small smile, understanding, encouraging. "Okumura-san...you're upset. I can tell. Should I guess, or would you rather tell me?"

His smile falters, and Yukio stiffens. There's no use lying about his emotions when he knows Raven can sense them. He might as well be a beacon flashing in the dark.

"... I can't open the door."

She's really not meaning to pry--but he is broadcasting, and she does care---so maybe she can help. "I think it's more than that, but one step at a time, right?" Still keeping her voice even and understanding, calm; concentrating and using her dark energy to open the door for him. "I take it we should go do some target practice?"

He reaches to pluck the now unbent metal bar out of the air, staring at it thoughtfully.

"I don't have any blanks."

Hmmm...that would complicate things, some...

"Does the act of firing bullets themselves from the gun render them useless? Otherwise, since I usually provide the targets, I can probably keep them from being damaged when they impact my dark energy."

He shakes his head, speaking in a very matter-of-fact tone, as if he's reading from a text book.

"Firing ignites the gunpowder in the cartridge and deforms the bullet as it's forced through the barrel."

Hmmm...well, that threw a wrinkle into her plans. "Alright...well, did you want to go hunting then, after you organized things here?" Because she isn't leaving him alone, nope...not right now.
