Zweifel ist eine Pforte

Characters: Yukio and ANYONE
When: September 4th
Where: The armory on the second floor.
Rating: PG
Summary: Rin's departed again, leaving Yukio lost and looking for distractions.

[Anyone on or near the second floor will hear the thud of a boot hitting wood and what might be the slow splintering of said wood.

Yukio's kicking at the sturdy door of the armory, specifically aiming for the rusty latch that holds it closed. A thick piece of metal bar is bent through it, serving the purpose that a padlock might normally. With Rin around it was easy enough to get in and out of the room, but Yukio doesn't have the strength to bend the bar himself, so? He's going to break it.

He could leave it for some other time, but what if an emergency arises? He'll find a new way to secure the room later. Maybe after he's taken inventory. And reorganized. And done anything else that might need doing.

Anything to keep him busy.]

[Well, this was certainly an unexpected sight to see. He had heard the banging and figured that it was someone like Lin trying to get into the armory again, he wouldn't have ever guessed that the very organizer of the armory was trying to break into it.

Sasuke hesitated at the stairs, not sure if he should speak or not. He could feel that Yukio was upset, and he could easily guess why. It reminded him of himself, years ago, in a way. How he felt while he was still reeling with the loss of his own family. Now, when he wakes to find family gone (more his brother than other family members), it's...a subdued acceptance that he goes through.

It wasn't a better way to deal with loss.

But really, there wasn't a right way to deal with it either. Letting it out, though, was indefinitely better than holding it in, that much was obvious.

After a few moments of watching, Sasuke does finally decide to speak up.]

Do you want help or would you prefer to keep kicking the door for a while longer?

[Even if you know what sort of feelings to expect when it comes to losing loved ones, it still doesn't mean that there's a set way to prepare for them. Even after Sasuke lost his entire family, and then his brother again way back in Toshima, it still hit him harder than he would like to admit, considering he also spent most of his life hating Itachi. It was worse the second time around, when the truth actually came out, because then he knew, and it just wasn't some awkward understood truce between them.

So it's perfectly understandable to not have a damn clue what to do, or how to close yourself off to those emotions that make it hurt more than it should.

It probably says something that despite how much Sasuke himself has closed himself off to the rest of Nesreca and its residents, he can still amazingly empathize with most, if not all, the residents. Especially since his family were almost notorious for being a closed-off bunch emotionally, and he himself was that way for as long as he could remember as well.]

Frames can be repaired, we can find the wood.

[Even the strongest dams eventually break, something Sasuke also knows.]

All right, if you insist. [He's getting his sword out, powering it a little with his chakra to sharpen it further.] Just cut the lock, I assume.
