[Yukio's set himself up on the roof of the apartment building. From there he can see most of the city (the parts he needs to see, anyway) and keep an eye on his fellow residents as best he can. A small pile of boxes has been built up carefully to one side, out of the way but still within easy reach. On the ground beside him are spare clips for his sidearm, several other different types of ammunition, and many, many guns of varying sizes.

At the moment he's kneeling at the edge of the roof with a rifle at his shoulder, peering through the scope at the battlefield below. Every now and again he takes a few careful shots, each time taking out a knee or a foot, forcing approaching forces to split their man power in order to care for their wounded.]

[She'd been busy getting the others organised, helping wherever they needed her to help. Her own inability to fight was never more frustrating then right now. She was still half way into plans when she came up to the roof, making sure not to startle him as she came closer. She knew he'd been up here picking them off all day. So she had come with water for him.

Carefully kneeling by him, and a little bit back, she pulled out the scope he'd given her and started to look around. More then a little bit impressed at his level of skill with his shots. They were hard ones from this distance, she'd watched her brother learning. Granted guns seemed to be a little more efficient...]

I brought you water, my lord. You're quite remarkable with that weapon.

[Yukio pulled back from his weapon a bit, smiling gratefully and reaching for the water.]

Thank you, Heika. I've been working with firearms for a long time. [Staying humble, yes. He was never one to boast and he's not going to start now.]

[She smiles at him, despite how highly strung she is at the moment.]

It shows, you're a credit to those who master such things. I've never seen such accurate shots. [Pleasantries, just for a moment, there was enough violence about anyway. She'd get to the rest of the questions later.]

[He smiles again and sips from his water, eyes constantly flicking back to the battlefield laid out before them. Thankfully those with the larger, flashier abilities were doing a decent job of keeping most of the invading force back.]

I'm glad to be of use.

Aren't we all? [There's a dry twist to her lips, amused if only privately. She was continually frustrated with her own lack of use in this.]

How goes it otherwise? [she nodded her head out, towards the soldiers.] Are they succeeding, or rather, advancing or not?

[because if not, they needed to try harder, and she'd think of something else again.]

[He turns back to face the battlefield, hunkered behind his gun.]

In relation to the entire invading force, very few have made it as far as my range. [Which is fairly large, Elizabeth will know by now.] It's slow going, but everyone seems to be driving the soldiers back.

Good. [she looks a little relieved to hear that.] You are all very good at what you do.

[she bites her lip, using the scope he'd given her to look out at the soldiers. Taking note of everything they were wearing, their weapons -- nothing which she had ever seen before, but that was ] No seig -- I mean heavier weaponry?

Or... well, whatever the equivalent is to canons and the like?

[He shakes his head.]

Not yet. I've been watching the bridges for heavy artillery, but so far only men have crossed over.

Good. I hope there is nothing else for them to send.

[But then other things.]

I hope you don't mind me saying this Yukio, but of all of them here, it's you I trust to keep a level head on your shoulders when this is done... which is going to be extremely important once we have prisoners. [which she isn't going to look forward too dealing with.]

[Yukio frowns at the change in conversation, but he listens thoughtfully. He certainly appreciates her confidence in him, but it's definitely not the most pleasant topic.]

... What would you have me do?

[She reassures him with a smile, or at least tries too.]

Nothing awful, in fact, the complete opposite. I want them to be treated as well as can be. I really wouldn't trust this with the others, good as they are. Except Raven, perhaps, if you don't mind working with her.

But the soldiers... They'll need to be fed, watered, have somewhere safe to stay and their wounds tended too. They've already suffered enough out there already. They're just men with orders, and it should be respected.

[She had other purposes, less honest ones, but those didn't matter so much.]

[He nods.] I don't mind at all.

My brother would be useful to that end as well. He has a temper, but he wouldn't harm them unless it was necessary, and three makes for a more solid watch than two.

[She nods, looking a little relieved.]

Yes, I remember how he reacted to the burnings. [her laughter is dry]

It does, I know I could count on you in this.

[He raises an eyebrow.] Burnings?

Ah you don't remember? He got very upset when I told him they burning people alive where I come from... for religious reasons mostly.

[she looks away a little awkward.]

[Recognition passes over his face and he nods.]

It slipped my mind. He was rather angry...

As he should be. It's monstrous to see, and I'm glad people aren't so... desensitized any more. I've never done battle, but...

[she stops, shakes her mind to clear it.]

Never mind, my time is done, and people don't do that any more. We have more important matters at the moment. Though I think that is everything I can think of for now.

[It made sense, after Elizabeth's 'reveal' of plans to find out as much as he could - and knowing that she'd spoken to Yukio meant that working out things from there would make most sense.

He hadn't expected to see what he found when he arrived on the top of the apartment block but he was pleased. It was the perfect vantage point, and he could be easily directed to the most useful place to start a retaliation.

Carefully he made his way across to Yukio, crouching down beside him.]

I plan on heading out in a moment. If shock tactics are needed I think I know what we need.

[He would make sure Shisui, Sasuke and Obito were put to the best of their abilities too-- even if the younger Uchiha were suffering from a change in eyesight.]

[Yukio pulled back from his weapon a bit, enough to cast a sideways look in Itachi's direction. Shock tactics aplenty are exactly what they're after.]

Good. Kiriko-san is in the field if you or the others take any injuries, and I'll be based here.

[He points out toward a large cluster of half-caved in buildings.] I've seen at least a dozen take cover behind those buildings.

[Granted, it might take him time to get to this, but Raven is prepared for that. She's on the move though, and doesn't want to risk speaking.]

Okumura-san,

I'm moving around from group to group and place to place. I'm very effective at being scary, and taking out groups to unconsciousness. I'm also heightening their feelings of fear and hostility, directing it towards each of their own, if I can.

I'm highly mobile, and can also function as healer if needed. You and Elizabeth can contact me via this device, as I'm keeping it on me.

[It does take some time for Yukio to respond, occupied as he is, but not too long. Rin has been told to check in every thirty minutes, so Raven receives an answer after about that long.]
