Characters: Uchiha Itachi, Uchiha Sasuke & Okumura Yukio

Summary: The boys are going hunting for noms. =D

He'd sent quick messages to both Yukio and Sasuke about their imminent hunt. Something simple The front of the apartment buildings. One hour from now?

Exactly 55 minutes later he's stood outside the front of the building, wearing no more than he usually does, and equipped with a few ninja tools he had on him upon arrival. He probably won't need any more than that, with the help of his Sharingan it won't take much to take out their prey, but this is also a chance to see what skills Yukio possesses, and also perhaps to see how much Sasuke has improved.

Perhaps a sparring session will come later. For now the true aim of the morning is to catch something wholesome for food.

Yukio made his way down the stairs shortly after. It was a bit warm for the long black coat he was wearing, but it was an article of clothing he rarely went without when hunting. At his waist were several pouches, all filled with medical supplies and extra ammunition. At his back there were a pair of mismatched pistols.

He offered Itachi a short wave on arrival, smiling at the younger boy.

"Hello."

It was more out of the need for something to do that he'd pressed himself up against the wall of the apartment block, hands folded behind his back, head tipped up to stare at the sky. It was just his luck that the day would bring them rain, but it wouldn't do too much to hinder them he felt sure.

Yukio was on his way though, and he turned his head just as the door opened, leaning off the wall with a smile of his own, nodding his head rather than lift his hand in greeting.

"Yukio." He took a moment to look the other boy over, noticed the pistols-- made a mental note to ask questions later. "Prepared?"

Sasuke was practically right behind Yukio, silent and light on his feet as he had always been. He wore a simple, light-weight black and grey stripped hoodie, the sleeves partially pulled up. He didn't care how hot it got in the summer months here, he always found himself wearing a hoodie of some sort.

And at least it wasn't a bright as the one he normally wore.

Sasuke came to a stop just a few feet away from the two, Sharingan activated as he glanced out into the barren city.

"Most wildlife will be in the woods or more overgrown areas." Consider this his greeting.

"As prepared as anyone can be in a place like this."

Yukio nodded his greeting to Sasuke, surveying the landscape himself with his own sub-par vision.

"Then I suppose that's where we'll be heading."

He hadn't quite managed to wear anything too different from his usual ANBU uniform, and seeing Sasuke reminded him pretty glaring of that fact, not that he could do anything about it there and then. He was dressed incredibly practically for the time ahead, and that was all that mattered.

"Good." In response to the both of them, and a nod-- they both had to be older than him, and even that was hard to get his head around. "So into the woods?" He asked, without waiting for a response before he pushed off the wall and started walking, eyebrow arching in question at Sasuke.

His sharingan was active seconds later... sorry about that, Yukio. "I would imagine we'll have to venture further to find something substantial."

"Yeah." Well, funny thing that he hadn't worn any clothing from home in years. He didn't see the need to, before he came into Nesreca. Casual clothing worked just as fine as any other.

He followed Itachi, letting the younger take the lead since the hunt had been his idea. There was also no better way to learn the terrain better than through a the experience of a hunt. Sasuke considered it helping, in his own silent way.

"I imagine there would still be wolves around. Any bears would be out of hibernation by now and around the river and creeks."

Yukio followed slightly behind the brothers, willing to fall in line with whatever their plan might be. They seemed like they would work well together (so unlike Yukio and his own brother), and there was no reason to disrupt that.

"Do you think they would try to attack us while we're in a group like this?"

For a moment he expected Sasuke to take the lead-- even though he was supposedly the elder brother. Getting used to the switch was easy in theory, he'd given it a lot of thought but in practice... In some ways having Yukio with them was a welcome stabiliser.

"It might be better to seek out a bear? Something that will last longer." He mused, looking back over his shoulder a Yukio - they certainly wouldn't be jumping off ahead, but it was really no problem, the more time they spent doing something other than the usual mundane every day things, the better.

"Not if we're stealthy enough."

A bear. Hm. Sasuke thought about it for a moment, and while it would last longer, they didn't exactly have any place to store meat. Though they could possibly use the skin for other means.

"We don't exactly have anyplace to store food, though we can easily take what we need, meat and skin included."

And stealth wasn't an issue, that much Sasuke was aware of.
