It's a chakra; it specifically is the chakra representing the 3rd eye, denoting clarity and fore-knowledge if possible. Chakras being a concept of points of energy along the body that can affect one's mood and health, and being originally an Indian belief". Raven was clearly much more comfortable discussing academic subjects, rather than herself.
