(no subject)

Characters: Kanda Yu [[personal profile] beanstalk] and Tyki Mikk [[personal profile] ofpleasure]
When: TODAY I GUESS?
Where: Probably....all over Nesreca.
Rating: PG-13?!
Summary: Kanda's offered Tyki a spar, no strings attached.

Kanda had offered Tyki a spar a couple of weeks ago. He didn't doubt that the Noah was bored (so was he, he's been bored for months), and short of an actual fight (bad idea), a spar was all Kanda could offer.

Besides, he needed it just as much as Tyki most likely did. It even says something that, deep down, he was happy the Noah had come back. He was an Exorcist, after all, he literally lived for the war, for the Noah and Akuma. He didn't have anything else, at least not at home. Here...

Here, there was Alma.

He knew going against a Noah in any form without Innocence was practically suicide, but it was the only way for the both of them to get their fix without causing an unnecessary riot. When he left that morning, he left Mugen at home and told Alma he was just going to go out for a spar. He could only hope to trust that Tyki would hold up his end of the deal.

No Innocence, no dark matter, no phasing. That's what they (eventually) agreed on, for this spar (and most likely any future ones as well).

So there Kanda stood, in the middle of the town square, taking a seat on the remains of a fountain as he waited for the Noah to arrive.

At least it was sunny out.

If there was one thing they had it common, it was boredom. Tyki was, in fact, bored out of his fucking mind. Sure there were interesting (if not inconvenient) things that happened every once in awhile, but for the most part life in this place was pretty dull.

All these exorcists, and yet Tyki didn't even see the point in bothering any of them. It wasn't as if he could steal any Innocence and bring it back to the Earl from here. Actually, being away from his family left him with very little interest in any of that altogether. That had always been more of their deal than his after all.

How sad that the most exciting thing to happen to him all week was simply sparring. Kanda had been specific about what was and wasn't allowed, and Tyki saw no point in breaking those rules. For now.

The Noah made his was lazily to the area in the square they had agreed to meet, arriving later then Kanda. He stopped several feet short of him and put out the cigarette he had been smoking.

"Ready, boy?"

Bring it? Tyki smirked at that, putting his now-empty hands into his pockets as he surveyed the exorcist in front of him. As far as he could see Kanda really hadn't brought his Innocence with him. Did he really intend to play fair then? That didn't seem very fun.

Although a spar was a spar, and it was something to do.

"If you insist."

The marks on Kanda's arms aren't lost on him, and he makes a mental note of them, but it's hardly a threat. He's ready when the exorcist comes toward him, without backing up he takes both hands out of his pocket-- using one to block and the other to aim a blow at his chest.

Yes, someone does. Although that makes things easier for Tyki, as the exorcist's next move isn't so unexpected. He backs up slightly, raising an arm to meet Kanda's foot, trying to block before pushing him backward in the same move. He has no intention of getting any kind of head injury here.

He expected that too-- Kanda is always so aggressive. Luckily Tyki is too. He backs up and takes the time to block his moves attempting to land some hits of his own. It's entertaining, that's for sure, but he can't help wondering if Kanda would notice the use of any dark matter..
