She had to go see this apparent water that wouldn't go give you every kind of horrible disease. Skirts held up as if something would latch onto them and drag her down.

It scared her badly. And not just because the first time someone assassinated her she'd been on a boat.

Yukio smiled when he spotted her and started in her direction, still fully dressed in long pants and a worn sweater. Rin is already having the time of his life in the pool, but... such activities aren't really Yukio's thing.

"Are you alright?"

She was startled out of her contemplating certain death by him -- looked up surprised, relieved that it was only him... and not some horrible fae creature wanting to consume flesh... or something such.

"I just... swimming isn't something that's done in my time. Ever. At all."

He raised an eyebrow, curious.

"Really? Why not?"

"Because no one knows how to swim -- and because water is unclean and very likely to give you the plague or some other disease." Trying to sound as reasonable as possible about this.

He considered her words, nodding after a few moments.

"That makes sense considering the time you're from, but water like this," he said, gesturing to the pool, "is very safe to swim in. It's treated with special chemicals to take all the impurities out."

"... Is that what that smell is?" The smell of chlorine that is.

Awesome! A pool!

[Rin had come to check out the restored building and upon finding the pool decided he had to swim. After stripping down to his boxers he jumps in, splashing water everywhere. Kuro sits and watches from a safe splash free distance. The cat sidhe wants nothing to do with the water.]

[Yukio steps up beside Kuro, arms crossed over his chest as he frowns at Rin's antics. That's far too much splashing, sir.]

You're making a mess, Nii-san.

Eh?! You're not coming in?! [Rin stops his splashing in the chest deep water and stares at his brother.]

I hadn't planned to.

Why not?! Its awesome! You're not gonna get another chance! [Sinking down into the water more.]

I'm fine right here.

[Doesn't look like he plans on moving, dude.]

Come on! Having a little fun won't kill ya! [Little splash that's not necessarily directed at Yukio and won't even go that far. Just a show of frustration.]

It had been at Lucia's urging that the man wander back over here and get some much needed stress relief in the form of exercise. She had even bandaged up the right side of his face so he could swim and move about freely without fear his mask would move or come off. She took better care of him than he deserved.

Cross climbed to the highest diving platform, stretching and shifting before just diving in. The splash was a bit bigger than he wanted it to be, but it was still small and at least his hair was pulled back to prevent being blinded by stray strands as he dove and swam about. Hell, Anita had even rushed out to find him some nice swim trunks that she thought would suit the man... Cross still was inept at such processes.

She really didn't mean to stare but... well she hadn't really seen many men, at all, since Dudley. Even before Dudley.

It was very... uhm. Ah, what was the word?

Never mind, she's just going to look at her feet right about now. So maybe swimming wasn't completely bad. Trying to get over the fact she's blushing badly and think of things that weren't the sheer amount of half naked men around. Uhm. What was that thought again?

Cross surfaced near Elizabeth, propping himself up on his elbows on the side of the pool, smiling up at the monarch. This must have been painfully awkward and scandalous for the poor queen.

"Is everything all right, m'lady?"

"... Yes, just ah. Different. It's very different." Swallowing... looking somewhere else. But trying not to be rude about it either. "... Do you truly not get sick from swimming and such?"

Because that at least was an honest concern. Regardless of Kanda being... 8|

"I am sure it is. I do hope it is not causing you any distress." You don't... Have to do that, Elizabeth. Hard to have a conversation with you glancing all over the place and avoiding him. At least most of him is underwater?

"No. So long as one does not stay in the water too long and is mindful to dry off after leaving the water to take any chill out of the air."

"It's not really -- That is, it just takes some adjustment I suppose." Going to brave and look at him, just his face. That was... easy enough as long as she didn't look anywhere else.

"I see... I suppose that makes sense." Given her very limited understanding of how disease worked really.

Gag, you two. Just. Gag. Kanda rolls his eyes as he watches, keeping his attention mostly on the "Queen." He had put his shirt back on since having a brief dip in the pool himself, so there wasn't much to see as far as he was concerned...

But it never stopped him from walking by Elizabeth and just going, "Boo." Really, should you be standing so close to the edge of the pool?

Alma loosed a shout from the perch he'd found by the shallow end of the pool, cheering the general on. It looked like fun, diving from those high platforms, but he'd learned on more than one occasion that water was not the easiest element to concur, and all his previous experiences involved pools much smaller and shallower than the one everyone was visiting now... But that was okay. He was happy just to be able to splash his feet in the water.

"That was so cool!"

Hearing Alma when he surface earned a smile from the general and he headed over to the boy, swimming all the way rather than walking once in shallow water. Walking was lazy and slow.

"You think so? It could have been better... Been so long since I actually went swimming and even longer since I did any diving."

Alma smiled, leaning over to rest his elbows on his knees as the general drew closer.

"Yeah! I've never seen anyone do anything like that before. Did you used to swim a lot?"
