Shisui caught the bat and tested it out on air a bit, then looked all over for the net. Finding it, he began setting it up in the middle of the table.

"Winning? You need to be at least two points ahead of me to win, and at least up to eleven points to win. Anything can happen, 'Tachi." He grinned at him, fitting the net nice and taught. "Remember how you were up to eight and I was nil but I still beat you that round?"

Yes. Refresh that memory of yours, Itachi.

This place hasn't made you completely useless yet, then. He wanders over to the middle of the table, testing the tightness in the net after Shisui sets it up. The slightest press of lips is the only sign of satisfaction but that's all he needs to relay the thought, and he takes a place opposite Shisui, resting his hand on the table, ping pong ball resting under his palm.

"The never happened."

Shisui scoffed at that, smirking soon after. "I had won the previous set, too. But if you want to start over, that's fine with me~" Positioning his legs slightly apart from each other, shisui takes his stance, ready for the first serve.

...His sharingan was already activated.

That smirk. Sometimes, it really annoyed him. He didn't react to the comment though, but gently picked up the ball, holding it gently in his palm.

His own sharingan was activated, and his hand dropped away, just in time for the incoming bat to catch it on the bounce.

Deal with it, Itachi. That smirk was well deserved.

Now with the sharingan, he could almost predict Itachi's moves, making it all the more easier for him to get his bat into the perfect position to receive the ball. But they'd been doing this for quite some time, and sometimes Itachi found a blind spot, and used it against him. Other times Shisui found one against Itachi. They were rare, but also a huge challenge. And Shisui loved challenges. Guess that ran in Uchiha blood.

Soon their game had escalated from a simple warm-up to a full blown, fast paced ball chasing event.

...Until Shisui's bat breaks.

"Okay, stop! That's not counted." He threw the bat onto the floor, pulling his shirt just a little away from his chest and blowing down the neckline. Whew, a little sweaty here. "You got another bat? Or something I could use?"

It was going well, of course and although there were no points to keep a record of, Itachi was mentally keeping note of the times both he and Shisui had to stretch themselves to return the ball to one another, and as far as he was concerned, he was the better of the two of them, an ideal that was only confirmed when Shisui's bat snapped. It was one of those rare times that he gave himself up to the moment, and the smile he wore was a certain one.

"Why not?" He chuckled, looking Shisui up and down briefly before turning away to find another bat in the box he'd discovered earlier, pulling out another and handing it across the table, handle first.

Are you kidding?! No way. Shisui was definitely the better of the two, as far as he was concerned.

"Because there's no way I could have returned that shot with a broken bat even if I did hit it. And I did." He took the bat offered to him and flipped it in his hand, inspecting.

But you know, that chuckle had him frowning, and he wore that frown even on the next serve. He couldn't lose.

"It is fun. If you enjoy that sort of thing."

Do you think you can provoke me, Nii-san.

"I'd be terrified, my people have many strange beliefs about water, that my nurse delighted in terrifying me with when I wouldn't behave. In some stories, beautiful white horses are seen, standing by the water and when they find a human being, they'll play with them, urge them to ride them, only your hands stick to it's skin. It drags you down into the water, where it reveals itself to be a monster, and rips the flesh from your bones." Shudder. She really, really disliked water. Bathing was fine, she even enjoyed that -- deep places? Even here? Just no.

"Admittedly, she told me that one less about water and more about my love of horse riding to stop me from running off to the stables but..." she shrugged. What nurses intended and what children learnt weren't always the same thing.

Yeah. [Just staring at you. Of course he can.]

... [See, now he's determined to resist. Just gonna go ahead and pull his chair further away from the pool before sitting down again.

P-p-p-poker faaaaace.]

[Rin looks around the pool. Unfortunately there's nothing he can throw at his brother and he's too far to splash now. Darn. Without warning he jumps out of the pool, sending water flying everywhere. He runs over to Yukio and then whips his sopping wet tail at him all the while grinning like a maniac. See if you can avoid that!]

[You. Wench.

That tail whacks Yukio in the face with a wet SPLAT, leaving the younger twin sputtering in disbelief. Did Rin just...]

[... He did. Rin just bitchslapped Yukio. With his tail.

Reaching up, he removes his soiled glasses, squints at them for a moment, and then sets them aside.]

[And now Rin? You'd better run, because Yukio's coming for you. >8| ]

[That is exactly what Rin does. He takes off running towards the pool laughing. His plan worked maybe a little too well. Too bad he didn't take into account all of the water he left everywhere. It causes him to slip and slide on his way back, slowing him down quite a bit as he flails his arms to regain his balance.]

[Yukio chases after the blur in his vision that is Rin, determination on his face. He will get you, Rin, just you wait.

Rin' slipping and sliding helps Yukio gain some vital ground, and when he thinks he's close enough the swipes a hand forward, grabbing for whatever part of Rin he can reach.]

[Yukio catches one of Rin's wrists causing the boy to turn to look back. That bad decision sends him slipping again. He topples forward with a yelp of surprise. Yukio caught him faster than he thought he would.]

[HA! Yukio grins in triumph, but that solid grip on Rin's wrist means that the exorcist goes down too. Thankfully big brother's there to cushion his fall!

Sitting on you now. Deal with it. B)]

ARGH! Damn it!

[Rin goes down hard on the tile, but that doesn't stop him. Don't forget your big bro can lift cars at his normal strength. Even cut down in strength Yukio isn't that heavy. Rin turns to the side enough to grab onto Yukio's shirt. You sir are going with him to the pool. He reaches for the edge of it with his other arm to pull them both towards it.]

Nice try! [That terrible grin is back.]

[Yukio's no slouch, but he can't compete with that kind of strength. He tries to get his feet beneath him to resist the pulling, but things aren't looking good for him.]

Nii-san, don't you dare!

[HE DARES! It only takes him a second to catch the edge of the pool with his hand. That grip gives him the leverage he needs. Gripping Yukio's shirt more tightly he hefts his brother over his head and into the pool.]

HA!

[Yukio's fate is sealed and the larger boy goes flying. Fully dressed. Into the pool.

Not cool, Rin. Not cool.

Yukio's sputtering a bit when he surfaces, pushing wet bangs out of his eyes as he glares around in search of his brother.]

[Rin wastes no time jumping into the pool after Yukio.]
