[Naruto turns off his PDA and feels his stomach gurgle. Holds it and knows he’s hungry. Takes a flight downstairs and races down the hall till he reaches room 402. Bangs the door really hard.]

Raven!!!

[Bangs again.]

Okay! I'm not freaking out till we get back!

[Nods.]

Got it!

[Grabs a bit of dirt and pours in the red liquid he carries in his flask. Mixes it then covers his whisker like scars in red streaks. Puts on a determined face. Tightens his headband]

Lets do this!

[Well, hopefully that means he'll actually be somewhat competent this. So time for the walk to the river. Raven's actually fairly quick at walking, and she's quiet...enjoy that, Naruto.]

[Strides next to raven keeping a low key. Keeps head down and arms extended back. Rushes and accidentally strides in front, realizes Raven is leading and slows down a bit. Whispers.]

Sorry!

[Have a snort. It's ok, you're reminding her of one of her team-mates, so she can handle this.]

...s'ok. We're good until we get to the river, then we have to go on quiet mode.

[Says it loudly. Naruto is very loud and prefers not being quiet when it isn't needed. But when it comes to food and necessary items, can be as sneaky and quiet as a fox. Follows Raven to the river.Finally gets quiet. Whispers.]

So did you say we were swimming?

[Moving to levitate, holding out her hand.]

No.

[Wonders what she's doing but promised not to freak out. Never goes back on his word. Takes her hand.]

[Oh this should be simple...you've flown with her before, Naruto. Haven't even seen how she can be creepy.

But yes, Naruto's getting pulled off the ground, dark energy wrapping around his waist to help, but she's still pulling him with her hand. Gliding low across the river, keeping to the shadows.]

[Even though he remembers "flying" with her, he still hasn't gotten used to this. Bites bottom lip to keep himself from asking. Stomach gurgles and reminds him of his mission. Knits his eyebrows due to concentration with determination practically seeping through his eyes. Doesn't mind Raven's weird abilities, all he knows is that he needs food.]

[Well, that just means she'll passively project 'calm', help keep him from suffering too much. Doesn't take long to get them across the river--and Credinta is definitely nicer. Touching down in a building's shadow, Raven's keeping her voice in a whisper.]

So, we should try to find a market or something, but we have to watch out for patrols, and try to not be seen. I can help with that a bit, if we keep to the shadows.

[Replies in a whisper.]

Do you wanna separate and meet back here or are we tag teaming in on this?

Tag teaming...that way I can get us out of here, fast, if I need to.

[Whispers it and then gets ready. Points at a building near theirs.]

There is a building there with shadows and I see that guard standing there. It looks like he's the only one here, lets take him out. I think I have some rope in here somewhere.

[Searches for it.]

[And yes, you can be perplexed because why is she moving to sit lotus-style? and closing her eyes?

...because she's going to knock the guy out, with her soul-self, that's why. Cue a dark-energy silhouette version of Raven heading out into the shadows, and into the guy's mind, before he drops. Unconscious.

Eyes opening, as she goes back to her normal levitation.]

See any cameras?

[Stares at Raven with a shocked expression. Didn't expect that. Shakes and wonders if he has been making a pact with a gh-gh- stops himself from freaking out. Promised her he wouldn't. Instead looks around and notices 2. Throws his dagger at the one pointing near their location. Destroys it but no one notices since it landed on the noiseless ground.]

Yeah, we got one on our right, a bit farther.

[Good...freak out later, when they're back in Nesreca. Then you can ask her all the questions you want.]

Give me 10 seconds, then head for that building's shadow. We'll plan our next move from there.

[And she's just gonna go ahead and use her dark-portals to appear in that building's shadow. More dark-energy rips the other camera off its position, giving them a clear field for now.]

[Starts heading for the building's shadow and waits for Raven.]

[She's staying put, scouting around and stretching out empathic senses to try to gauge where anyone else might be out and about. Waiting in the shadows for Naruto to join her, as it's easier for her to help them stay covered if there are already shadows to manipulate.]

Okay, where to?

We keep to the shadows as much as possible, knock out any guards as needed, and take out the cameras. We grab stuff, then I'm teleporting us back across the river.

[Well, it sounded simple, even if she was sure it wouldn't really be that easy... Taking stock of where they were, senses extended and trying to gain an idea of direction---that way.]

We head that way.

Got it.

(Naruto nods. Follows Raven and does as he is told. Brings on the awesomeness that is Uzumaki Naruto!)

[They didn't actually have much more trouble. The few cameras were taken care of, and the people were easily avoided or knocked out--Raven taking lead on that for purposes of being stealthy. Didn't take them long to get in, and to what was a market place. More cameras disabled, and a dark-energy portal, as they headed through the wall. Bags were snagged, and food scavenged..non-perishables, as well as some cleaning stuff in Raven's bag.

Naruto was true to his word, as he didn't freak-out, even when Raven continued to be creepy. She was practical though, and quick, and waited to be sure both of them were set. Keeping her voice quiet.]

Let me know when you're ready, and I'll teleport us back across the river.

(Naruto snuck around grabbing a few goods for himself. Did his best not to freak out. Feels good about it.)

Okay, I'm ready.

[Raven was just glad he wasn't freaking out, as she passed him a bag for his stuff.]

Right...do me a favor, hold these two bags until we're back in Nesreca, and stay close. And remember, no freaking out until we're back across the river.

[Passing him her two bags, as this would be easier with her hands free as she stepped close. Murmuring her mantra quietly, and summoning her corvus-astral form. Enveloping them both in dark-energy, as the Raven silhouette covered them and they teleported. Brief and quick, moving through a darker-cold dimension and then reappearing on the other side of the river, back in Nesreca-territory. Not even likely half-a-minute...]

(Does as he is told and waits until they patiently return to Nesreca when suddenly he errupts and possibly disturbs the tenants in Nesreca.)

HOW DID YOU DO ALL OF THAT!!!! Are you sure you're not a ghost!!! OMG!!!! I'M FRIENDS WITH A GHOST!!!! HOW COOL IS THAT?!?!?!?!

[Which had Raven wincing from the volume, and holding out her hands for her bags.]

I'm not a ghost, Naruto. I'm flesh and blood, prick me and I bleed, and all that stuff. I'm just...unusual.

Got it.

(Hands her, her things.)

So what are you gonna do now?

[Ok..there might be a smile under the cowl--very small, barely seen, but maybe. At least he didn't hate her, and wasn't afraid of her...yet.]

Well, I was going to continue trying to make my apartment more livable by stocking the food, and after I've rested, I was going to go scavenge for furniture.

That sounds good, I'm gonna hang out back at my place and sharpen a few of my weapons. Maybe go out hunting a few animals later. Wanna join me later?

Not a big hunter, thanks. I wish you luck though, and stay away from the graveyard and the hospital. They're haunted.

[Not that Raven could necessarily tell by what, but there was a definite sense of extra presences.]

I'll stay away from it unless my prey runs there. But aside from then,

(Hears stomach growl). I'm gonna head in and make a meal, sharpen my blade and go hunting. I'm starving!
