Who: Agatsuma Soubi, Aoyagi Ritsuka
When: Feb. 28; ~4:15pm (according to the cellphone getting no bars)
Where: Dilapidated Playground... area.
What: Nothing bad. Soubi and Ritsuka find each other and get to figuring out what the hell is going on.
The thread that connected him to Ritsuka was thin (piano wire?) and loose (silk?) but shone brightly to his senses despite the fact that they were not, indeed, connected. Not as they should be. But he could hear Ritsuka and he could find him when his fighter called.
The trek took longer than he cared for. Broken pavement and crumbling walls of wood and stone and concrete made the walk more difficult than it should have been. He didn't dare run just yet. Ritsuka was not in immediate danger and if this was a training session, it was likely he would not be put in danger until they were together. So Soubi took off in the direction he was pulled at a steady pace that allowed him to maneuver around and occasionally over the decaying remains of a small city that stood in his way.
It wasn't terribly long, perhaps twenty minutes at most, before he got within sight of Ritsuka. Waving his hand, ears perking and tail swishing in uncontrolled excitement at actually seeing the other boy alive and well, he attempted to get his fighter's attention without making much sound as he approached. Just in case.

"You wouldn't have had any problems finding me if you had written your name on me already," he continued in a chiding tone. "I opened the door to the gym from the locker room and found myself here. When I turned around, the door, the school, everything was gone. And the... pocket internet thing was in my hand. I checked my cell phone, and it works, but it's getting no bars. You?"

His ears had flattened in a shy manner at the kiss, and slowly perked again as Soubi explained how they had gotten here. "I was talking to Sensi, and then when I left I was here. I assumed I'd missed something, or that it was a strange spell battle, but I couldn't find you." He glanced down at his own cellphone, hanging from a strap round his neck and shook his head, "No reception, but I figured out this thing enough to type."

"If it was a spell battle, I felt nothing before hand. No pressure or presence of another before the change in location. I did figure out how to use the voice function and before I got the alert for your text, I spotted a video option. The only thing I can think of is some sort of training, but this idiot that responded to my radio call said something about not being in our world anymore. I think he's delusional... but it could be we're in some sort of illusion."

The blonde gave a small shrug, "Your guess is as good as mine. I've never heard of any training remotely like this. First thing we should do, though, is find a place we can make a secure camp at before we go exploring. We were set down on this side of the river, with the ruined buildings, not the side with the nice ones. So I think our training is supposed to happen here. It could be crossing the river is a sign of forfeit, so until we can figure out otherwise or are sent instructions, I think it best we not cross. I don't want fail this just because we took a step too far."

He pulled out the PDA again and scrolled through the various functions, "Ristu may not have been allowed to tell us. If it's a special thing like graduation or some big test. Though I think we'd know if we were doing well enough to graduate early. Could be a test."
Soubi pulled his arm away from the shorter boy and shut the device off for now, digging into his book bag with his free hand. He pulled a pencil out and tucked it between his teeth, then fished out one of his sketch pads. The PDA was dumped in his bag and he set to work making a (currently) very crude map of what they'd already explored.
"The pocket device doesn't have a map function. And if we're going to find our way around, it's best to have some checkpoints. We'll start with the river and this playground and once we find shelter, we can do more extensive exploration. We'll have to see about getting food, too. If we're going to be here a while."

"It could be," he agree, "But why does no one seem to know what a spell battle is, or about Seven Moons or anything? I guess...that could be part of the test though."
"Where do you think we are?" he asked, standing on his toes to watch Soubi sketch, looking about with a frown, "Are we really in another world? It looks like no one has lived here in ages. Except those people replied to us, so they must be hiding somewhere."
His stomach growled at the mention of food, ears drooping. That added a whole new level of difficulty.

He finished the sketch of what little he'd already explored and looked around at the ground, noticing a strange streak of blood. Exactly like the one he had seen from where he had first appeared. It led off in the same general direction as well. Soubi pointed at it, "The others that responded may be hiding this way. I saw another blood track like that earlier. If they are killing things to eat, then its likely those were created by the dead animals being dragged off."
Soubi adjusted his glasses and tucked his sketch pad under one arm reaching out for Ritsuka's hand with the other, "We can follow this for now and if we encounter any hostilities I will protect you. It's easier to fight with a spell battle against those who don't know what they are or how to use them. Unless you have another idea?"
He wasn't asking rehtorically, Soubi would defer to Ritsuka's plan of action if he decided to present one. His ears remained up and his tail hung behind him as he waited politely for an answer.

He pushed a few buttons, hesitating before adding, "One of them told me Loveless lived at 202. I'm not sure what that means or if we can trust them but...it seems safer some how then following streaks of blood...I think," he offered.

This was all very confusing. It was hard to give orders in such a foreign situation, especially one where he felt Soubi knew so much more than him.
