Rating: PG-13 at the most
Summary: In which Charles finds his alcohol and a few other things to bring home.

Getting across the river had been hard enough, it was getting back across that proved to be difficult. What was odd was the fact that being in that other city had been the easy part. He made sure his suit was perfect, but hair a bit mussed along with keeping the scar concealer in his jacket pocket rather than on his face. Overall, the look had allowed him to wander about in the local areas without causing much of a second glance. The fun for him had come when he got to use his language skills on vendors and those around him, speaking casually with the citizens as if he were one of their own. Thank god the boys had such a global reach, if not his years of European languages would have gone to waste.

In Credinta, had managed to play the role of sliver-tongued prince with vendors, slowly gathering up supplies he would take back "home" with him. Food, clean water, articles of clothing for the necessities, and alcohol, cleaning products, flashlights, batteries of varying sizes as well as other creature comforts like junk foods, candy and cigarettes. All in all, it had been a very successful outing across the river. When it came time to going back across the river from whence he came, Charles found getting his hard earned items across dry and in once piece a challenge. But, after finding something to float them along on, it was manageable.

Now it was the fun part. The manager had no need for everything he brought back, of course not. He was a business man after all. Sending out an open message to residents of what he now "stocked," Charles made himself comfortable in his apartment. People might not have had money to give, but services and lesser items were always welcomed. Bartering had been the first form of payment after all.

Ritsuka had hesitated some time in his room before exiting and wandering down the hall to Mr. Offdensen's room. He combed his fingers through his hair and took a slow breath before knocking. He'd brought his bad with him, not sure what exactly he had that was worth anything, but it was worth a shot.

He hovered by the door, gripping the doorframe and glancing back into the hall uncertainly. He didn't kow this man....but Soubi was close, and this wasn't like with the Joker...he'd be fine. He let go and followed him into the room, switching to English after hearing him speak.

"You said you had...things to sell?" he asked uncertainly.

"Mm...Ritsuka," he mumbled shyly, thinking a moment, "Um...well, I need some pants," he started. His old ones had been tailored for his tail, and without it he had managed a clumsy job sewing it back up, "And um...cigarettes? For Soubi...I don't smoke," he explained.

Ritsuka flushed lightly, rubbing at the back of his neck, bowing his head gratefully, "That's...thank you," he said with a small smile, pulling his bag close and looking through, "I've um...I've got a few textbooks, and some yen, and a few notebooks and...pencils and stuff." He gave a flustered look, "It's all junk here I guess."

He drew closer, hesitating before abruptly handing over his bag for him to look through himself. "Philosophy, Japanese History, and English, and a book of math problems," he said, thinking carefully, the rest of his books would have been in his locker, "And there should be a book about Nietzsche."

He beamed at the older man, shaking head and scooping up the bag, "No, that is wonderful, thank you um..." he trailed off, blushing when he realized he didn't know the man's name, "Um...Sensei," he finished uncertainly, not sure what to call him.

Youji had slipped into the apartment building, fingers tracing along the walls. He didn't bother with knocking, poking his head inside the advertised door curiously. "Heeey, you the one with the stuff?" he asked, ears perking. He'd been wandering all round the city, but he was still a bit nervous about being in the apartments. The murderers back at the Joker's seemed to like him better than they did here. That didn't wipe the grin from his face though.
