So blood loss can be fatal....who knew?
Characters: Naruto, Sasuke, Okami and Yoruichi.
When: July 25th
Where: The streets of Nesreca.
Rating: Uh...PG-13 for blood and possible language?
Summary: Sasuke has been bitten by Kamui and drained near the point of death. So it's Naruto, Okami and Yoruichi to the rescue!
Naruto had been giving Sasuke CPR ever since he made sure help was on its way and shut off his communicator. He grew more nervous and upset the longer he repeated the steps with no result. No matter what he did Sasuke's breathing wouldn't regulate right and he could tell the Uchiha was fading fast.
"Come on you guys, you're supposed to be here helping me," he muttered to himself as he pressed down on Sasuke's chest.

He rounded a corner and spotted them, momentary relief washing over him. This place had witnessed enough death, it didn't need more tainting it. He took a deep breath, raising his voice, "Uzumaki-kun!" He tried to keep a hint of kindness in his voice, scaring the boy more than he already was wouldn't help.
He stopped next to him, removing his bag and setting it on the ground besides him. His heart stopped when he saw Sasuke. He grasped Sasuke's wrist gingerly, feeling for a pulse and letting out a relieved sigh, "We need to hurry..."

The moment her food landed on the ground she pushed off, a flicker of shunpo propelling her forward, almost disappearing from existence, appearing far ahead of where she had been to begin with.
She found them with relatively little difficulty, that last flicker of shunpo leaving her at their side in a flash. She stopped and assessed the situation as she knelt down next to them. He was so pale, and thoughts raced through he mind as to why. She wasn't a medic -hadn't she said this once?- but she had answered anyways. She didn't particularity like seeing people die when there might have been something she could have done.
"What happened to him, do you know?" she looked back and forth between the other two.

He laid the packets out on his bag carefully and set the roots on his lap, passing his hand over them, cleaning them with magick, a gentle ripple of the energy escaping into the air, passing over them in a warm wave. He held one up, "This will help him produce blood, we need to give it to him after the transfusion..." He held up another, "This will help purify his blood...I didn't know what type he was so...I grabbed as much O Negative blood as I could carry..."
He looked around, "I don't really want to do a transfusion here but...it'd be bad if we move him in this state..." He turned to Yoruichi, "Please, can you hold him still for me?"

He turned his attention to Okami. "What can I do?"

He took a deep breath, setting aside the herbs and grasping Sasuke by the elbow, pressing his thumb into the bend. A shiver ran down his spine. Blood magick always left a sour taste in his mouth, even if it was to save someone's life...
He shook off the feeling, concentrating on the contents of the packet and the vein under his thumb, coaxing the blood transfer with a small jolt of magick. The packet drained slowly.

More importantly she'd be more help in this situation then he would. He watched Okami work and hoped whatever he was doing would help the Uchiha. But the medic seems sure of himself so it's better then nothing.

He took a shaking breath, tossing the empty packet aside and picking up a second, slapping it lightly and starting up the transfusion again. "I'm surprise that he's held on this long..." He smiled, "He must have a strong will to live..."

Yoruichi watched, almost transfixed, she hadn't seen anything of the sort before, healing kidou was drastically different. This was a whole different kind of technique, and it laced her eyes with curiosity.
"If he wakes and does try to fight against you, I can hold him down. It won't be pleasant, but it'll keep him down."

He drained the second packet, fighting off the shiver that rolled down his spine. He could taste the blood as it passed through his own body, a thick, metallic sting in the back of his throat. He frowned slightly, tossing the packet next to the first and picking up a third bag. He was starting to get dizzy but he could keep going until the job was finished.
He worked on the third packet, opening an eye to check on Sasuke's progress and to see how Naruto and Yoruichi were handling the situation.

Naruto payed close attention to Sasuke's face, watching for any twitches that might let him know Sasuke was coming to.

Okami smiled at him gently, "That he survived this long is a good sign...he's already getting colour back in his skin so I'm sure he'll be running around again in no time, maybe not at top speed but..." He looked at the remaining packet in his hand, almost half empty, "He should at least stay in bed for a few days, but I doubt that will happen..."

He smiled over his shoulder at Okami, his expression almost immediately clearing of its previous sadness and uncertainty. "Yeah, I guess so. Uh...thanks. I mean I'm sorry I got all depressed I shouldn't be unloading on you like that."

Okami blinked, watching him and sighing softly, shaking his head, "We may not know each other well yet, but...keeping your troubles bottled up won't be good for you." He smiled, tilting his head, "I can always listen if you need to talk." He laughed softly, "Of course, while Uchiha is knocked out, you could always talk his ear off."

He stretched out his legs and scratched the back of his head. "So, are you feeling any better?"

He sighed, "But...as long as we stick together, I'm sure it'll turn out okay."

"So how about you? I'm sure you have someone who taught you how to heal right?"

He lowered his and to his lap, smiling weakly, "My mother tried to teach me as much as she could. Sometimes, I thought I'd never remember it all. I still can't teleport properly." He sighed, "I guess...she knew she was going to die young."
He shifted, rubbing the back of his neck, "But she left detailed books that I could learn from and what I didn't learn from those, my older brother taught me." He laughed softly, "He's better with sword fighting than magic...but he did teach me blood magic, it's something forbidden to learn but it has its uses."
He blinked, blushing a little, "I guess it's complicated." He shook his head, smiling at him, "I'm sure that your teacher would be glad to hear you speak so fondly of him."
no subject
"She must have been a great mother to leave you books and stuff to learn from even after she'd died."
He chuckled at the mention of his sensei again and shook his head. "Maybe. It'd be kind of hard to tell since he's always wearing a mask over the bottom half of his face."

Okami pushed his hair back again, his smile fading a little, "She was...but...lately, I've been starting to forget her...and my father." He shook his head, "It's just been so long."
He glanced at him, tilting his head, "What about your parents?"
