Credinta raid
Characters: Mitsunari Ishida, Sora, Sagan Yōuji, Uzumaki Naruto, Link
When: Evening of Sept 16
Where: Starting by the river over into Credinta
Rating: T
Summary: Raiding Credinta, again.
The rain would make good cover for their raid. Mitsunari couldn't see the troops on the other side of the river clearly but he knew from many long stack outs of his own that by now they would be tired and a bit cranky and counting the time they could go back inside, in short they would not be thinking about their job.
He smiled, and absentmindedly pulled out a length of fuse to finish off the package he was having Naruto deliver. With the boy's flare for the dramatic he was sure that he could find just the place this would be most dramatic.
Leaning back under the awning, he settled down watching the rain, not much longer before this party would get started.

He came to a halt in from of the other man and grinned. "Hey, you have it all set up yet?" He glanced around their surroundings. "Is it just you and me?"
no subject
"I've got the bomb ready. You know how to set it up, right?"
He pulled out the package and handed it to Naruto.
"I'm not expecting anyone else to show up just yet. I was going to give you twenty minutes to place the thing and fifteen back. Do remember to unroll the fuse otherwise it's liable to go a bit faster. Given that they have plenty of time."
no subject
"Uh...I just set it down, light the fuse and run like hell right?"
At least he knows the basic idea. In theory anyways. He nodded to the man's last instructions. "You got it."

He frowned sad and morally uncertain, lost for a minute, looking very much like the woman he currently was and all of his years.
"I'm sure you find a great place to use it, but if you could try to avoid getting any innocents in the crossfire it would be appreciated. [quietly]There are enough deaths weighting on my soul.[/quietly] It might not be that large an explosion but it could easily destabilize a house."
no subject
"I wasn't planning on blowing it up near people! That would be cruel. I'll find a good place away from people and meet up with you guys later." With that he takes off to find the perfect spot for the distraction.

"Heeeello," he greeted, stopping before Mitsunari and rocking on his heels.

So Mitsunari is over nervously pocking at the water.]
Mitsunari kind of slumped hearing Youji. He had been hoping to avoid complications if this went poorly.
But the Bakeneko had been here for longer then him and would probably be a good source of information.
"Do you know anything about people sized fish in the the river?" Mitsunari half turned to look at Youji but then thought better of it and turned back to the water.
no subject
"Or I guess... fish people?"
There's Something in the Water
But the rain had made his choice of appearance a little easier. As heavy as it was, he could swim up and down the river, dive in and jump out, without drawing the weapon fire of the people on the other side. They seemed less like fairies and more like regular folk - only meaner and more ready to hurt others. Matt fairy hadn't said anything about needing to retaliate against them, but Link got the feeling that at some point, he'd get a quest that required sneaking around or fighting them.
In the meantime, he was going to enjoy the swim as much as possible. It almost felt like flying.
Re: There's Something in the Water
...
...
He could have sworn the fish weren't that big around here. Could the river even feed a fish that size... Maybe he was just imagining things, it was late and the visibility was poor.
Or not...
He slowly got to his feet, carefully not to alert the guards. This would be a horrible time to have to scrap the raid for lack of planning. It might be alright, this might not be another game by certain parties.
But it might be and he wasn't going subject anyone that didn't need to be to her whims. Even if that meant that he had to trigger them so the kids didn't have to.
The shape seemed to be humanoid. That knowledge caused this horrible sinking sensation. It was probably another trick of the girl's.
They so didn't need this right now.
He slowly crept over to the edge of the river just enough to dip his hand in the water, nearly collapsing with relief when he didn't find himself a different shape.
...Though that didn't mean it was safe. He wished for a very disorientating second that he had been here longer so he know what else he should be testing.
Re: There's Something in the Water
Maybe he should try asking, it was unlikely to hurt anything and if it did... well it would be better to do that before the kids got here.
"Hello?" He called softly, doubting that it would carry in the rain but not wanting the plan to completely be lost.
Re: There's Something in the Water
Then Link raised his head, the odd feminine lines of his body hidden mostly by the water, darkened as it was by the rain and the lack of sun.
Link tilted his head to one side and lifted a webbed hand just high enough to wave lightly.
What was this fairy doing so close to the dangerous boundary? Didn't she know there were people with mean weapons that could hurt her?
Re: There's Something in the Water
He also leaned over looking at Link and asked "Or I guess... fish people?"
But somehow he was sure that there hadn't been one yesterday and that this was just another game.

At least as a Zora, his chest wasn't that much bigger than normal so the whole looking Ruto thing he was originally worried about was lessened greatly.
no subject
He didn't want to be a fish person and he especially didn't want to be one while current... things were happening. At least as long as he could hide everything.
no subject
"Kill it!" he ordered. It was creepy looking, and he didn't like it at all.
no subject
Shaking his head side to side and waving his hands franticly in a 'no' gesture, he panicked just a little. What if angry fairies were like angry cucoos? That would hurt!!!
no subject
"What? Why? It hasn't been hostile. Have you already met?" Mitsunari turned to stare at Youji for half a second before realizing that that might be leaving his back exposed.
He noticed that Youji was moving behind him and taking the role of the non-combatant. That was fine; it left him in better control of the situation and at no point was that something he felt should be in the Bakeneko's possession.
And the fish person seemed to trying to reassure them more then anything.
He did pull out his Tessen and fanned it out next to himself, a bit more space between the other parties seemed like it would probably make everyone more comfortable.

Link looked down at himself and saw only the Zora skin he currently existed in. It was the most comfortable thing to be in during a rainstorm. His clothes wouldn't get wet and his eyes didn't need to blink the water away.
But he supposed he could change if that would help...
Link reached behind him and pulled out a wooden mask. Placing it against his face, he held in a silent scream as his body changed to that of a Deku shrub and the Zora mask fell to the ground before him. Now the size of a small child at roughly one and a half to two feet tall, and covered with bark and leaves, Link picked up the mask and tucked in behind him. It disappeared and he was left with nothing but a flower in his hand and rather weepy looking eyes.
His petals and leaves becoming more soaked by the second, he held the small flower that had blossomed in the wake of his transformation out toward the two. At his feet, another bud was taking shape.
no subject
"Youji; do you really want to..."
At this point Link changed and Mitsunari froze.
He very carefully didn't move. The situation seemed to be under control, the fish person wasn't a fish person any more but it didn't seem to any more hostile then it was a minute ago.
Somehow he didn't think that he had just missed the fish person in the river earlier.
He really hoped that the change wouldn't hurt when the rest of them caught them.

The flower bud at his feet grew steadily.

Without worrying about irrational killing and the deeper but not less scary thought that boy might be right to so murderous, he pull himself off that razerwire share edge of 'need-to-act-now'.
The creature (was it one of them?) seemed to be harmless and Youji seemed like he was going to act it. So Mitsunari folded up his tessen and let himself relax a bit.
If they was going to turn into a fish/tree person he was and there was nothing that could be done about it right now.
If they weren't then it just might be a new 'guest' of the apartment that he hadn't met yet. A spirit, like the bakeneko.
He sighed, well there was nothing else to do really. He looked into the creatures deep sorrowful eye and them only making him feel guiltier as he asked "Do we know you?"

At Mitsunari's question, Link tilted his head and shrugged. He certainly didn't recognize either of the two fairies.
no subject
Youji should not be treated as a good source of information. Ever. Like trusting Kunoichi.
....If the creature could change at will, he couldn't imagine a reason why it would want /not/ to be a fish in this weather. Well he could but he wouldn't choose to be a plant thing over it.
At the shrug Mitsunari sighed, it didn't seem to recognize them. It was more likely that this wasn't a new game for herself.
"Are you alright?"
/eeeklatelatelate>w<
He shifted, folding his hands behind his head and glancing around at them. His eyes went wide when he spotted the strange creature, running over and dropping to his knees, "Whoa! What's this?"

His sad eyes moved back to Youji and something about how the girl spoke made him think he'd seen her before somewhere. He just couldn't place it.
Sora's entrance and subsequent barreling over to take a closer look startled Link and with a surprised bubble blown right in the Keyblade Wielder's face, he spun down into the large flower that opened and bloomed at his feet. It closed in around him, looking like a one foot bud that was hiccuping just a little. A few seconds later, it opened and Link shot out upward, two flowers in his hands spinning like heli-copper propellers as he began drift downward from the apex of the toss.
The little plant-man's feet wiggled as the wind and rain pushed him slowly over the river and across to the other bank. A pouty squeak at flying in the wrong direction could be heard as he disappeared into the darkness of the evening.

Well then it probably wasn't another game, a new arrival maybe? Or an older one that had the sense to avoid the apartment perhaps?
At Sora's abrupt entrance Mitsunari straightened his stance; there was just a bit too much energy in the room, and he had not desire to be pulled over. All in all he was fairly relaxed given that the situation seemed ready to dissolve into chaos at any minute. As it did.
He tried not to think about how Link's departure worked to hard, given that he knew that it had to be pure magic.
He sighed "I think it was a new arrival."
A long look to the farther bank knowing that his plan probably was shot.
"We should probably rescue it.
"And Sora don't worry you weren't really late."
no subject
He jumped to his feet, folding his hands behind his head and glancing at Youji, "You said it used to be a fish thing...? Huh." It was sort of like his clothes, changing from world to world. "So, it can change back then?"
He watched again, stunned as the creature took off into the sky and out of sight. He shifted, dropping his hands back to his sides, grinning at Mitsunari, "A rescue mission and a raid?"
no subject
"Come back," he said with a pout, tail twitching and ears pressing low against his head. He looked back when Sora addressed him, twisting a face. "But it's ugly when it's a fish thing."
no subject
He landed securely enough on the opposite bank and waited a few moments to make sure he hadn't been seen. No shouts or sounds of the odd weapons could be heard. So carefully... ever so carefully, he edged over to the bank and slipped the Zora mask on.
The 'cute' deku form slipped away and fell to the ground. He picked the mask up automatically and then dived back in the river.
It took him a few times swimming up and down in the dark, rain disturbed water before he finally spotted the trio once more. In silence, his body glided under the surface toward them.

He walked over to the edge of the river, squatting down and squinting through the rain, "There's something coming." He got to his feet quickly, jumping back and holding out his hand, ready to summon his Keyblade.
no subject
"It might be the creature, able to return on it's own." Or it might not, he fingered his tessen thoughtfully, but seeing no reason to add fuel to the trigger-happy state of his companions. "But we should still head over towards the bridge, that will be a better place to act if we need to."

He tilted his head to the side and waved causiously at the group, hoping the pigtailed girl with cat ears wouldn't be too upset he was a Zora again. But it was kind of hard for him to swim otherwise....
no subject
He shook his head quickly, sending droplets of water flying from his hair. He started in the direction of the bridge, noticing the movement in the water. "Ah! Hey! I think it's the fish-guy!" He waved back. He blinked, "You think it needs help?"
no subject
"It doesn't look like we're going to need help it out; and Naruto is also going with us. He should be back in a minute. So we should probably wait a couple minutes for him to get back. Besides..." He looked up at the darkening sky. "This will probably go better after twilight has properly set in."
