Never look a gift horse in the mouth

Characters: Matt, Youji, Open to ppl who might hear
When: October 31st
Where: Nesreca Apartments, stairwell between floors 7 & 6
Rating: PG-13 for corpses?
Summary: Youji wants to play with his present.

There was a loud 'thump thump thump' from the stair well, like the sound of someone falling down the stairs. That someone happened to be dead. And much to Youji's amusement, he might add. He dragged it out of his apartment with much effort and straining before attempting to ride it down the stairs. It didn't end quite like he thought it would, and he glared at the corpse. There was a fair sized bump on his head, but he didn't seem to notice.

As soon as the shop keeper started finding the bodies, his first reaction was to run. So, he took it. There had been a few, missteps to say the least with the man tripping over a few hands, arms and legs. He had managed to avoid a head though. It was when Matt managed to get to the stairwell that things got stranger.

A boy trying to go down the stairs on a... Body. How disgusting... Poor body. "What a horrid person..."

"Meant you... Disrespectful to the dead." Matt carefully stepped around another body, resisting the urge to vomit as he did so. He wanted to get out of this place but now he was here dealing with some rude.. Wait..

"You have kitty ears... I like kitties." The thought of bodies being all over was suddenly gone from the shop keeper's mind as he looked at the other male, taking in his feline ears and tail.

"..Look like one." What a rude child. Matt honestly hoped he hadn't acted like that when he was small. Lords know his father would have had none of it. "Those that are dead from yesterday, set the world for us today. Not weak when murdered at work.. Trying to help."

Matt slapped at the boy's hands to get him to leave the body alone. "Leave him be. Lest it be you becoming my 'sled' soon." Grey-brown eyes narrowed in warning. He did not like people disrespecting those that passed.

Matt ignored the comment about how he spoke. He knew tons of people that talked like him. Some little twit wasn't going to get at him for that. Digging into his jacket pocket, the older pulled out a screwdriver, and in a very out of character way, held it as if it were a knife. "We'll see how much doing what you want happens when I take your eyes. Ungrateful little shit." Matt didn't get mad often, but something about this kid was pushing all the wrong buttons in the shop keeper.

Noting the stiff jaw and poised posture, Matt took the opportunity to push the younger back against the wall as he came closer. "I changed my mind... Hard to see your punishment with no eyes." Using his free hand, the shop keeper grabbed Youji by the chin, pushing his head against the wall. Screwdriver in hand, Matt stabbed one of those annoyingly twitchy cat ears. The tool punching through the furry skin to become stuck in the wall.

It wasn't often Matt came against someone with the ability to not connect things properly like pain. It seemed as though this boy had that little problem. A smirk formed on the older's lips as he watched the other struggle a bit.

"Bad idea. You'll get more blood all over you." Matt took a step back to watch the boy, tapping at his chin in thought. "I'll free you when you start respecting those that have passed."

"They're dead because horrible people made them that way." Matt grabbed the boy's hands to get them away from the screwdriver. "Just because someone is gone doesn't mean you're free to ruin what's left of them. Would you want someone to do things to you when you're blood covered and dead?"

"Killed in bed by a madman is not their fault." The older moved enough to not take the full force of the kick, but the foot still knocked one leg enough to make Matt misstep a bit. "You have not a single drop of caring in you. People like you should be dead."

"Very weak."Matt managed to pull out the screwdriver out of the wall and the boy's ear only to hold the bloody end to the younger's eye. "See this? Blood. Means you're just as weak as everyone else. Not special at all." The shop keeper ran the end of the tool along the boy's cheek, spreading the blood along the clean skin. "Worthless."

"Weak weak weak." The older tilted his head a bit when the other mentioned blood flying. "Blood doesn't fly. It runs." The odd attitude and lack of care must have been rubbing off on Matt. He certainly didn't feel like himself.

"Still can't fly. No wings." A wolfish grin spread over Matt's lips, clearly showing off his fang like teeth. "Not stupid. If you can't be hurt.. Why are you bleeding? Not very strong at all." Matt leaned in close, pressing the screwdriver into the younger's torso, his voice a whisper. "Not strong at all. Weak little boy."

"Still can be hurt." Matt kept the tool in place, glancing to the side as a few more bulbs broke. Grey-brown eyes narrowed at the boy in front of him. "You breaking things..?"

"Never know. Might just. Deserve it." A thin brow arched at the younger. Honestly. What a stupid little boy.

"Hardly scared. No reason to be scared of you." Matt slipped the screwdriver into his pocket to be able to put a fingertip through the hole in the feline ear. He tugged at it a bit, testing its limits. "Matt. What is your name, lest I call you weak and worthless forever."
