northern downpour sends its love
Characters: Elizabeth Tudor (
1mistress_nomaster), Lenalee Lee (
liltingly)
When: 21 September
Where: Elizabeth's room
Rating: PG
Summary: Girly time. With dresses and doing hair things and yes. So very girly. Because they need to do something when avoiding ghosts.
Elizabeth had been happy enough to invite Lenalee to come visit her, and she had a surprise planned, well. Of sorts. She wanted to give the younger woman something nice, if only for a little while. At least from what she'd gleaned none of them seemed to come from a happy place, and this place was miserable enough on top of that. But it afforded opportunities otherwise denied, and there were so few women here, and she'd hang herself before speaking to Lin, and she was fairly certain Raven wasn't interested.
Perhaps it was selfish on Elizabeth's behalf, she enjoyed company here because she did not have to second guess everyone's intentions. That and... well, taking Cross to bed had relaxed her almost completely, put her in such a giving mood, and nor could she stop smiling for very long. After creeping out of his room of a morning, she'd gone about going through her wardrobe to pick out colors she thought Lenalee might like, laying them out on her bed. Singing while she did so, her good mood so very clear, some silly song from England about ladies meeting lovers in meadows. Her door was ajar lightly so that whenever Lenalee wanted come in, she could. There was no rush, at least not here.
The little pleasure, slight as they were, made it so very worth the rest. She'd known that for so long, and they were things she actively went after. That, and silly as it was, she missed the company of her ladies, missed their chatter and silliness. The little bits of home that kept her sane in its own way.
