[Yukio shrugs.]

That's part of the reason. It's relaxing to watch others.

He considered her words, nodding after a few moments.

"That makes sense considering the time you're from, but water like this," he said, gesturing to the pool, "is very safe to swim in. It's treated with special chemicals to take all the impurities out."

"It's not really -- That is, it just takes some adjustment I suppose." Going to brave and look at him, just his face. That was... easy enough as long as she didn't look anywhere else.

"I see... I suppose that makes sense." Given her very limited understanding of how disease worked really.

"... Is that what that smell is?" The smell of chlorine that is.

That's somethin' an old man would say! You're too young for that!

[Sir you may be out of normal splash range but Rin isn't going to let this slide. He pushes off from the wall and turns to the side. There is a brief second while he reconsiders what he's about to do, but decides to do it anyways. Winding back he strikes the water hard with his fist, aiming to hit his brother. Whether it actually goes far enough is still up in the air though.]

"That's right. It's not the most pleasant smell, I know, but you grow used to it."

[YUKIO IS AN OLD MAN INSIDE. DEAL WITH IT.

Yukio quickly pulls his feet up onto the chair, only barely avoiding the spray and fixing Rin with a disapproving frown.]

Nii-san...

Gag, you two. Just. Gag. Kanda rolls his eyes as he watches, keeping his attention mostly on the "Queen." He had put his shirt back on since having a brief dip in the pool himself, so there wasn't much to see as far as he was concerned...

But it never stopped him from walking by Elizabeth and just going, "Boo." Really, should you be standing so close to the edge of the pool?

[Rin will save you from yourself and your old man ways! He grins deviously and winds back to splash again.]

Come on old man!

"It smells like the cleaning equipment I found a little..." in some unspecified cupboard she'd been digging around in.

Shut up, she was curious. It's your fault, Kanda.

Except she didn't hear him coming, yelped and jumped in surprise. Her shoes had no grip on wet tiles, at all and she completely lost her footing and fell backwards. Hitting the water like a dead weight.

And those three layers of silk, linen and wool? She sunk straight down -- and quickly discovered why screaming under water is a bad, bad idea.

[Yukio glares over the rim of his glasses, getting ready to jump out of his chair.]

Don't do it...

[Too late! He hits the water even harder this time with both hands.]

Hah! See if ya can dodge that!

"Some of the same chemicals are used, but they're diluted quite a bit." He looked out at the pool and the other people splashing about in it.

"It's perfectly understandable if you don't want to swim, but you don't have to worry about the others here either. No one will get sick just from being in the water."

[He tries to dodge, but this time some of the water splashes his pants.]

[Rin laughs and sinks back in that water again.]

You're already wet so just give up and swim!

"I see, yes it's no where near as strong as this." Watching the water, trying not to look at the people into too much because her brain was not dealing so well with how people were dressed.

"I am glad to know that, and they seem to really enjoy it too." She wouldn't be, to say the least.

[Yukio looks down at himself and shakes his head before looking to Kuro.]

He's hopeless.

[Yes, Rin, he's talking to your cat about you.]

[And you can't even understand him. Kuro looks somewhat amused as he mews back to Yukio. Rin is stupid sometimes. Still, Kuro shrinks back a little. He doesn't want to get wet. Rin yells from the pool.]

What are you waitin' for old man?!

He had seen Kanda coming, what he hadn't seen coming was Kanda spooking Elizabeth and send the queen toppling into the pool.

Reacting purely on instinct, Cross dove under the water, swimming down to where Elizabeth had sunken, moving to her back to undo the dress and corset to free her from both in hopes to lighten the woman enough to bring her to the surface. The fabric sunk to the floor of the pool and Cross put an arm around the queen, bringing her to the edge.

Shifting, the exorcist put Elizabeth's elbows on the edge before rising from the water only to lean over, lifting the woman from the pool. He carried her to one of the lounges at the side and set her down carefully.

"Are you hurt anywhere, m'lady?"

She couldn't breath, even when she had air, all that came up was water. Instinct alone trying to help him help her, pulling at the edge to drag herself out of the water.

Her lungs cleared, slowly, by the time he picked her up, she wasn't choking any more, breathing raggedly instead. Having air in her lungs had never felt so good.

"N-No I'm f-fine." Except for being cold and practically naked by her standards, but she wasn't going to acknowledge that right now. Just set her teeth so they wouldn't chatter.

Shisui and Itachi were exploring the rest of the REC area when they came across a ping pong table folded up and leaning against one end of the wall. He stared at it for a good long while before letting a grin creep over his features. Well now. How long had it been? Too long.

"Hey 'Tachi." He slapped the other's back - rather hard, too - and pulled Itachi up close to him in one quick movement, still grinning, eyes glued to the table. "How about it, mm?"

[[ooc: FOR A SECOND THERE I WONDERED IF RUSSIA HAD TT BACK THEN. BUT THEN THERE IS A BBALL COURT. WHUT. /goes along with it]]

He let out a huff when he felt Shisui's hand against his back, about to send him a look that was intercepted and suddenly they were almost cheek to cheek. He managed to wriggle out of that grip though, he supposed perhaps only because he'd made it seem like he was heading for the table.

"Hm." It was a musing sound as he made his way over, smoothing a hand over the surface of it. "Alright. This looks fairly simple to set up."

"Let's get this thing down first." He grabbed one of the sides of the table and unlocked the foldable legs. It took some effort to get it to the right position, though, mostly because the table legs probably needed oiling. Did they not play table tennis in Russia as much as the other sports? Everything else seemed rather shiny.

"--And then we're going to pick up from where we left off. 75th set, one, love. Remember?" That... That was an old score they never could settle because they had been suddenly called out to dinner by a very angry Fugaku in the middle of it all.

Shisui 0 : 1 Itachi

He grabbed the other side, helping Shisui where he needed before dropping the legs on his own side, frowning at the squeak of metal. He made no comment about it though, and promptly fetched a couple of bats and a ball, tossing one of the red and black bats to Shisui, arching his eyebrow at the comment.

"... I was winning that one, and you're seriously suggesting we pick up from there?"
