Reconnecting two sides of a cut was one thing; dealing with flesh that wasn't even there anymore was an entirely different thing altogether. Hitsugaya was not a healer, and he wasn't about to try something like that on himself. Not unless he had to.

By the time she'd finished with Grimmer's elbows, he'd bridged the space between them, watching them both with a critical eye. The man had been talking quite a bit, but the woman hadn't said anything at all. She'd spoken to him through text over the PDAs as well. He frowned at the tought but didn't mention it. It was hardly the time or place to do so. "If he was so stupid, he wouldn't have gotten away with it," he offered instead, his voice fairly quiet but obviously frustrated.

That ever-present frown only deepened when Hitsugaya noticed the look Vera gave his knee. He hastily opened his mouth to protest (He was a damn shinigami. He could handle much more than some human.) but closed it just as quickly. There was no Fourth Division here, no Unohana-taichou to give him one of those deadly smiles to make sure he didn't leave before being discharged. If he walked off now, the best he could do for himself would be to dump it in ice water and hope it went numb.

So it was with a grudging snort that he nodded. Verbal agreement was too much of a defeat for the moment.
