Vera just rolled her eyes slightly, and wrote a message to answer his first question- "I can't talk because I was made that way." It was completely up to him if he thought that she meant she was actually artificially man-made instead of born. Since it looked like he was also created, she didn't feel the need to deliberately hide the fact as she did with the others, although there was the slight worry of him blurting it out at some point.

At his though of infection being like getting sick, she shook her head and wrote another message- "Not exactly, it means that if you don't clean the wounds out then there's the possibility of it getting pus in it, since there would still be bacteria in it when it heals. If you leave it, there is the also possibility of getting sick." And she wasn't going to 'say' anything about being called lady, it stopped bothering her after the hundredth time when she was back home.
