Walking

Characters:Mitsunari
When: Morning
Where: Streets of Nesreca
Rating: PG
Summary: Still lost

The sun rose too soon, Mitsunari thought blearily as he blinked his eyes barely pushing the crust off his too dry eyes.

He licked his lips swallowing around the burrs in his throat. He needed a drink. He could hear the sound of water rushing; there had to be something to drink close by.

Suddenly he blinked much harder, the crust that was catching in his eyes clearing. The buildings were wrong. He had never seen building such as these, and more importantly he rather doubted that they should be anywhere near where he was last night.

He sat up slowly untangling his limbs from the ball he had slept in. He was too old for this, sleeping in the open was a game for the young.

He brushed his hair back, pushing the demon band back in place. Reaching over he absentmindedly felt for his Tessen, only looking when he found sometime on top of it, a small box with buttons on it. He frowned, knowing that he had not placed that there, and he would have thought that anyone close enough to leave it would have woken him.

Besides why would they have just left something? Hurriedly he patted himself down, taking inventory.

Nothing seemed to be missing.

Noticing that the street was more finely kept then any he had seen, if this was how Tokugawa kept his lands no wonder that he had lost. Though, looking closer, it didn't seem that people lived in the buildings. They were very unkempt.

He secured the Tessen, before getting to his feet. He frowned at the buildings for a minute, before leaning over and picking up the object and thoughtfully looking at it. There was a mystery in this item and it would not hurt to investigate it farther. Slipping it into his gi, he set off to the river knowing that he had to figure out where he was before he could run any farther.

The road was solid as if made out of a solid piece of rock and fairly painful to walk on after a while. But it was mostly flat and he didn't really have to watch were he walked.

But Mitsunari was starting to think that his memory must be off and that the river was not where he remembered.

Seeing two figures he decided to head that way, if people were looking for him then so be it; besides he didn't really want the trail to completely unfollowable.
