The young woman frowned but nodded, and continued to walk forward, feeling annoyed with herself even more. There was no reason to be scared, it wasn't like they could hurt her, but the thought of seeing or hearing ghosts scared her witless. And anyway, the dead were meant to stay dead, not wander around as spirits...Maybe that was why she's so scared then.

Unlike Okami, Vera had neglected to bring any weapons with her; they were normal guns and she doubted that they would have any effect on ghosts. So it seemed like she would have to rely on the other two in the event that anything does happen.

"Some soldier I am." Vera thought to herself glumly as she walked up to a stairwell. The young woman frowned as thought of what path to take; while she really didn't want to go down, lower levels were usually where records are kept.

So, once again steeling herself, she began to walk down the stairs, shuddering slightly from a chill that seemed to emit from the lower level.
